hey everyone, i just stopped in to say hey. it'll be a while before i can join you all on a regular basis again. due to A.L.S (ask wingnut what that meansin air force terms) i am super busy and will be until the 10th of may. i will celebrate gradutaing this class with (AT LEAST) 50 jumps in a 10-11 days vacation. then i will have something to talk about....collar bone is healing up...finally blues JT

i just called a few places to see if i could demo some mains. PD didnt seem to have a problem with availability but icarus...wow theygot a long witing list. so if you're plannign on demoing some stuff, get your name on the list now. safe landings JT

hey did you guys read that in the news?! if not click on it . its pretty cool to see this guys was acquited. i remember when it first happened he got alot of flack for bringing undesireable attention to the sport but if a jury can find it acquitable. i think we may be starting to change the opinions of some non-skydivers. it was good to hear that he took responsibilty too. he offered to pay for the damages. [now lets see if they pass a law against it?] just my opinion... JT

i had just flown in from n.y. to valdosta. the last thing i wanted to do was drive for three hours just to get there at midnight. i figured i would try to get there for sunday but that didnt happen either. maybe next time. JT

yea, the "irresponsible"guy had me laughing. as you watch it you can tell he was way excited [almost like he was on speed lol] even before he jumped. adrenalin ahhh gotta love it. but the fear of height guys was cool. level headsed and did what he was there for. but hell they both had the time of thier lives and it was on tv so it made skydiving look good.it's not as dangerous as[whuffos] might have thought...even for those who lock up. hey, i taped it(didnt watch it yet though) but i saw pieces of it. the dopamine part kinda got me disargeeing a little. they say we(thrill seekers) produce less of it on the norm so we seek out the feelling. ok i agree with that but then they said that bc we (us) have a lower amount, on the norm, that we aren't thrilled with evreyday life. i kinda disagree with that. although i would ALWAYS rather be skydiving. i have fun doing all kinza other things too. like i said i just caught pieces of it...did i misinterpret. or are they saying we are bored to death unless we're seeking thrills?! lol JT

ya know youre a skydiver when... im back in n.y. visiting, friday was my last day at home to hang out, and i know i wont be back for at least 2 years, but i put off all plans to watch the special on TLC. but it turns out everyone came over to see me and i couldnt see a full minute of it.( good thing i taped it, was it good???) ill have to watch it later JT

hey winger--- congrats on btz. save some of that moolah($$$) for the skies. ive been saving since my "break" i cant wait to jump again. my rig should be here by april 16th. suddenly i got the craving for some KFC(ewww not really) JT

he he eh i own a conversion van... even though my rig wont be here til april 16th, i practiced exits from my van. i take alot of tandems and a few students(grads now) and i took my seats outta the van(for travel purposes) and i got the little lightbulb above my head. so i showed a few ppeople how to exit the porter!! boredom is the mother of creativity. (if that were actaully true i should hold a few patents by now) JT

care, you know i got the van NOW!!! but before i got that ....well let me start with how i got my '78 mercury couger(pimp mobiles, if you dont knowwhat they look like)long story short...i lent my nice 78 grand prix to my mom when her car died....she wrecked my car in record time. here's where the story starts; (ill try to keep it short so ill leave out as much as i can. it was navy black.(ulgiest sob i'e ever seen) it ran good...with the exception of every thirty feet. it was cut out, i'd lose all power, all steering, and most of my brakes. but if i pumped the gas it would start up again. i lost my keys in the city(ny) when i was working with the demolishion job. (on my b-day) so after a 15 hr day i realize, i gotta get this thing started. so i ripped out the ignition switch and used a screwdriver for a key from that piont on. windshield wipers??? i dont even remember if they were on the car. oil spurted out all over the engine from below the carb. etc etc. i could tell you bout some of the near misses i had wiuth it but id be here all night...i know what youre goin' thru care, but it'll make for some good conversation.(well, i guess it already hasLOL) have fun JT

no jump for me(jump nazi's orders) i will by flying back down to valdosta on the 24th.(i am currently at home in NY) i am trying to get there to hang ot and meet some of you, since that will be a dz that i will be frequenting once my wings heal.....cant guarantee though.(usually if i dont guarantee i find i can make it and if i do, i can't) JT

okay here's the deal. most of you heard why im non-current so i wont go into that again but, i missed safety day and if you read any of my posts im always trying to stay "non- complacent"(it'll killya) when i get into the real world(of skydiving) again i will go through a 20 jump(or there about) refresher/advancement course w/ billy weber. so as far as being safe. i am. but any thing you might wanna add to help me think of things that may have slipped outta my head while i wasnt looking will be helpful. i dont like statistics...never mind being one!! here's the deal next jump(w/billy) will be a few new things for me. 1) new DZ. 2) NEW RIG(MY OWN...whoo hoo!!!) 3) first jump since nov 11th Im still a low timer, and due to my (non skydive related)injury im lower then i should be(much lower) ive only logged 20 jumps.every day im online in the books/videos keeping current on the info side . i never stopped learning but i'd rather you guys treat me like a 1st timer then take for granted that i didnt forget something.you know what i mean? plus it may even help some of the other low timers. keep it in check or it'll get away from ya!!! hey, usually with a newer card company they'll coax you with low intro rates etc but then they'll sliin the small print. you gotta look at the apr and if they charge you one friggin penny for annual rates burn the card and send it back. i dont like cards either(only for emengencies and skydiving) but if they send anything over 11%(which is still high as hell) i trash it. ever fell like saving all the crap they send you until you got a huge pile of it then slowly start sending it back
