  1. Your right. I was thinking that after I posted this poll. I should have elaborated it better to get a better result. I think of something. But thanks!!
  2. There are many posts flaming all that want to down size fast. But the reality is..... many do. Just click on the profiles or look up a thred about canopy transitions and you will see. Then lets see what is the actual average jumps many of us have when we go to a wing load such as 1.4 or above.
  3. Well yes there are many articles out there. Here is a piece of my mind. First I would like to say that I am not in ANY WAY agreeing to this russian guy jumping this canopy. What I would like to say is that it's not always about number of jumps. I know 100 is quite slim but.... I have friends with over 800 jumps that would seriously be putting themselves in danger if they jumped a small canopy. They just never got around to having interest in it. One of these friends recently had a reserve ride and had a bad landing because he came in a little faster then his usual canopy and just got scared. In the same hand I have friends with 300-400 jumps witch for the last 200-300 jumps has always tried to put his or her canopy to the limit doing flat turns, front riser approaches, even 90 degree riser approach. I would without a doubt say that these last friends mentioned actually would handle a smaller canopy much more efficiently. One more thing..... Some people learn faster then others. Everyone is different. Judgment in potentially dangerous situations is the same. And yes I'm too in the 300-400 jump range and I fly a Square Sabre and I plan to demo the katana and the crossfire2 to be my next canopy. And yes U$ 500 for a logo is ridiculous!!!
  4. Do it!! According to the canopy control course I had with Scott Miller, it's great to get you in tune with your canopy and it's very safe even if it did scare me the first couple of times. If you pull both toggles down as far as they can go and it does not fold in hALF, rap the toggle a few times in your hand and pull both all the way down. The canopy will fold in half!!! release slowly and it will return to its original form. This is actually what you have to do in one of the jumps of his course.
