  1. Hi all!! I had a great day at SDD yesterday
  2. How's this? "The next time you see your father, Please slap the shit outa him for not wearing a rubber" OR "I bet if I took your brain out and tossed it on a razor blade it would look like a BB rolling down a four lane highway". OR "Oh yea I forgot, Your mom said good morning!" Airborne!
  3. Very nice..... Very nice. Airborne!
  4. Anyway, sorry to here you got a ticket. (what??) Sorry to HEAR you got a ticket. was a long day Airborne!
  5. I got a new custom rig from my Mom. (Over $5,000.00 Has everything I wanted on it). She Jumps with me! Well until she broke her leg. But not to worry it's better now and she'll be back this summer.
  6. As a Trooper I think this is a great law. The general public may not know that many officers and citizens get killed on the road every year because a driver did not use COMMON COURTESY and move over. It just makes sense. It's not only for the officers safety either, its for the safety of the public. I pull over people all the time that are scared to move their vehicle all the way to the right. Or people who pull to the LEFT! It seems as though people loose their minds when they see lights behind them. Does anyone know what you should do when you see an emergency vehicle lit up behind you? I get sick and tired of people pulling over and giving me 12 inches between the drivers door and the line. Then here comes Joe Dumb ass who's worried about getting stopped and us finding that roach in the ashtray..... so instead of paying attention to the road he's trying to dump his ashtray under his seat or here in TEXAS shove that beer under the seat. Thats when Joe Dumb ass drifts over just a little and kills me, or kills the customer I just stopped because he's pissed he got pulled over and or doesn't want me to see the beer in his front seat so he jumps out of the car to run back and ask me why the hell I pulled him over. Look, Don't take this personal. We spend thousands of dollars trying to get the word out. I wish the media would do this for free but they don't. I can't speak for the Officer that gave you the ticket. All I can say is they must have had trouble with people catching on to the new law and decided to do their own media campaign by word of mouth. It's working. In this case maybe you could have gotten a warning. It all depends on many factors. Maybe some jerk before you got stopped laughed in the officers face and told him that he was full of shit and he could do what he wanted cause he had a high speed lawyer that was doing to get him out of it anyway. HE MAY HAVE WENT ON TO SAY HOW HIS LAWYER HAS ALWAYS GOTTEN HIM OFF. This kind of thing just makes the normal officer pissed the rest of the day. Where he had been giving warnings all day, he now says the hell with this shit, everybody is getting a ticket now. Not fair I know, but Cops are people too. Anyway, sorry to here you got a ticket. Blue Skies. Airborne!

  10. Wish I would have left mine in the car. Airborne!
  11. What is it with all this GUN & Hurting Cops talk??. Your not helping your case much. NONE of that is necessary. Are you sure you didn't start this Trooper off. Your talking about pulling out a .357 on a State Trooper? What the hell is that about?????? You cant tell me about being able to carry a loaded gun in your state. I know all about it. I live in TEXAS! 80% of the people I stop have loaded guns. Your starting to sound a little short of a full deck. You want to take a little ass chewing and turn it into a full scale man hunt with only one possible ending. Let it Go man....... You got off easy. They were just words. Now you have more cash to spend at the DZ. Let it go...... Airborne!
  12. Thanks skydiverbrian, Yes I am an FTO and have had the privilege of training some fine Troopers in the past. I make it my business to treat everyone I come into contact with, with respect. This goes from the little old lady driving the wrong way down IH-20 because she lost her way, to the ass in the hot rod racing his friend at 140mph with his 2yo bouncing around in the back seat. Do you realize how fast I have to drive from a dead stop to catch a car going 140? Lets just say my ass has sucked up many seat covers. Some times you just have to take a deep breath before making contact with your customer. I use to be one of the worst critics of COPS until I walked in their shoes. Lets every one remember that we are all human and make mistakes. I don't agree with what the Trooper did but I do understand how it could happen. Peace. Airborne!
  13. Anyone have pics of the Skychicks so we can all judge/see? Airborne!
  14. Very good point Deuce. When I was on the road every day, I got called out to a Triple Fatal and saw an entire families dead with body parts all over the roadway. For the next couple of days if I saw someone doing something stupid or taking an unnecessary chance just to save them a few minutes I might have given them a few tickets or chewed on them for a while (never both). Not the thing to do, but all I could see or think about at the time was the faces of the dead little twin girls. Maybe I should have taken some days off to be with my little girl, but if I took a day off every time I picked up a dead body I would just as well stay home. The worse part is driving to the next of kin's house and giving them the bad news. Airborne!
  15. I meant how YOU feel. Didn't mean to underline all that crap. Airborne!
  16. Steve, I'm a LEO, a State Trooper to be exact. I would like to help you with your problem but I would need to know all the facts first. For the most part, I don't believe you should have been treated with anything but respect. I was not there and have no idea what happened. All I know is what you wrote (2 sides to every coin and all). You have many options when it comes to dealing with something like this. First of all, almost every Department now is required to have full audio and video on every stop and keep it. For complaints just like this. In almost every state you can get a copy of the video under what is called the open records act. You will have to contact the department in person and fill out some paperwork first. It would be good for you to review the tape because its pretty much objective. It wont tell your side or the Troopers side, just what happened. Most of the time if you go talk to the Troopers supervisor in person they will sit down with you and review the tape without all the red tape. I am just taking your word and assuming that you committed a minor infraction and the Trooper may have been way out of line. You know, having a bad day. I know its hard for some people to believe, but Officers are people too. It's not within policy in most cases but I know officers that figure they are doing you a favor by chewing your ass instead of giving you a ticket. It really depends on who you are (the officer). I myself would rather have a huge ass chewing if I screwed up instead of a ticket. $200.00 Ticket plus insurance rates and maybe points on your driving record. Ass chewing sounds good to me. But thats just me. I am in no way trying to justify or make excuses for what that Trooper did to you. Wrong is wrong and thats it. Its all in how feel. Keep in mind, many people still don't understand that a traffic ticket is an arrest. The way you go free is by signing the ticket (signing yourself out of jail). When stopped an officer, by law he/she has 3 choices in most all traffic stops. 1. Warning
  17. Yea, She is cool. Hard to keep up with though. can't keep granny down. Airborne!
  18. hEY, My mom is the one that took me Skydiving at my DZ. AND she paid for it all (AFF & SDU) and she just paid for my new rig with all the fixins. She Started AFF with me but broke her leg on the second jump. She's pissed that she can't get back in the sky for now. I'm 36 too!
