Just got off the phone with my sis! She just checked into her temporary home (hotel room) for the next couple of nights in Pensacola! Just got a call from her with an update! She's in Dallas now and is going to stay there the night, after going for a run! Tomorrow she does the run between Dallas and Mobile, AL! Then Wednesday is a very easy drive into Pensacola! ~skysprite

In about 10 minutes I'm going to walk outside with my sister [and best friend for 22 1/2 years], give her a huge hug and wish her well, watch her get in her car and wave as she drives off on her way to Officer Canidate School in the US Navy in Pensacola. FL. Her orders have her checking in between noon on Saturday and noon on Sunday. She'll check in at 1 on Saturday, and there will be zero contact for at least a month, then limited contact until she gets her commision in September. Where's the big 'ol crybaby emoticon????? Yes, I will miss her, but I'm also incredibly proud of and for her! I couldn't be happier! She is so excited and feels like her life is finally starting! Thanks guys! I'm pretty happy with him! Took him to the vet this morning for a check up and he got his first shot. He was too busy chowing down on a doggy treat to notice the shot. He handled the whole thing well. So we have a schedule for when to take him in again for the rest of his shots and we'll get him snipped when he's between 4 and 6 months old. Don't want little Bobas running around! By the way for those wondering, yes, Boba is short for Boba Fett! Greg is a total Star Wars fanatic! He was so cute at the dog park yesterday! He was the only puppy there and the other dogs there were pretty big dogs. He stayed right at Greg's and my feet most of the time. Occasionally he'd get brave and venture out a few yards to where the other dogs were playing, bark, then high tail it back to our feet as soon as the other dogs noticed him! My family is all allergic to something, so never had a pet growing up. This is my puppy! What a cutie to start with! ~skysprite

Was out at the dropzone this weekend for my recurrency jump and this little guy was out there and without a home! Me and my sweety ended up adopting the little guy! Without further ado, meet Boba! He's a blue heeler/australian shepherd mix! Playful little fart too! We took him to my soccer game yesterday (where the pix were taken) and he loved that! Took him to the dog park this evening. Yup, he's gonna be a spoiled little punk. ~skysprite

:1:1 My first jump in 2007! But I'm once again current! Got a kisspass on my recurrency dive too! Also someone brought the cutest little puppy out to the dz that needed a home! We all tried to get our pilot to take him but he wouldn't, so me and my sweety adopted the little guy instead! He's a beautiful pup - a blue heeler/austrailian shepherd mix. ~skysprite
