  1. Try that in a C206 with 6 jumpers. Impossible! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  2. Fly your own body. Do not rely on the pax for stability or directional control. I only hook the legs in case the pax lets his/her legs blowing around, continiously slamming my legs. Not dangerous when a pax does this, but not very comfortable for me. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  3. Ok, well sometimes it just happens. I saw a couple of times a TM continiously steering/spinning the tandemcanopy and wodering why he has such an high pukerate. One ride on the front confinced him. For the rest Have fun, stay safe Ton ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  4. Quote I then proceed to do two spirals....maybe a 540 right and a 360 left, nothing too major, especially for a guy on an 'extreme' team asking for a wild ride Quote Have you ever tried this in the passenger seat? Might be supprising how much less comfortable this is. Do not fly the tandemcanopy like you fly you own small stiletto, velocity or whatever. In case my passenger wants spiral turn I let them help steering the canopy. Than they know which side they go. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  5. NO ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  6. Just a note: For france you need a french rating. You can not come to france and jump tandem with a US tandemrating. The same as I can not come to the US and jump tandems with my dutch/german tandemrating without some kind of allowance from the national organisation. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  7. NO ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  8. PPFF.... automatic is for granddad. Hybid is for a granddad who thinks he is still in his 20's Automatic: + Easy in traffic jam + Need one braincell less to operate + Kickdown in sportmode gives faster accelaration than manual - Uses more fuel - Hard to rent here in europe - Low resell value and a lot af the second hand automatic cars have been demolished by granddads driving behaviour. Manual: - A little more workload - Need more practice + Uses less fuel + Ability to accelerate very fuel economic + Manual is THE standard here in europe Here in holland people do their driving test with manual cars because passing in a standard car allows you to drive both. Passing in an automatic car only allows you to drive automatic cars (noted on driving licence) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  9. Yes, I'm from holland and I've lived in Leiden for 10 years as a kid. Lot of student activities, due to the university. Like all dutch cities with a long history. Parking your car is a nightmare even if you drive a small european sized car Closed DZ is skydive rotterdam. Most important day is 3-oct. Party in the city because of a military victory against spain some 100's of years ago (Spain troops surrounded the city but could not take it due to the middle age walls) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  10. It's not that bad, there arive new students each day ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  11. A SET400 is a licence built BT80 (Notice the triple end-cels) If the SET is like the BT80 100% ZePo it can last very long. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  12. Introductory jump? Someone lives 20 years ago! 995euro because the manufacturing takes place in east-europe (low labour cost) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  13. Hook knives to cut wing-suits ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  14. Believe me as soon as someone stapped to your belly is startin to "freak-out" you will notice. I mean FREAK-OUT, not PASS-OUT. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
  15. I'm a boy (At least my wife says so) and I do not like funerals! Appart from that I do not think it is required to show these pics to students. It's the JM who has to cut the line before the SL-student realises he is being towed behind the airplane. And it's the JM who is responsible to do a gearcheck I can see a purpose for these pics in case you have a very serious talk about behaviour near and just out of the door with a 50-150jumps 'I-know-it-all' jump wonder. But even than after some serious warnings. For instructors in training these photos serve a purpose. Kind regards Ton Dutch/German SL-Instructor and TM ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
