  1. I would rate it as a better use of tax payer money than using it for some more collateral damage in Iraq or Afghanistan. Woah, random. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  2. Because that's a great use of taxpayer money. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  3. Nah, I wouldn't work for you on principle alone. Which is another factor to consider apart from money. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  4. Nothing in the article indicates Caddall had a college degree. Did you read your own link? Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  5. Not this American. I'd love to see defense spending cut (admittedly, the first thing on that list would be our presence in foreign countries), and I'd be first in line to be cashed out of SS and the various Medis. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  6. Since I have to register to actually read the article, I'll just put a short rebuttal in quotes: "The American government needs to face the harsh truth and spend fewer money" Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  7. So would you like to see a temporary increase in the minimum wage until everyone gets back to "normal"? Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  8. Wanting a livable wage does not make one greedy or lazy. Why should every job come with a "livable" wage? Should every teenager get paid as if they're supporting a family on their first burger-flipping job? Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  9. ...and return the guns to their cars when asked to do so by the police. Oh, the irony of anti-gun theater policies. Sticky Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  10. Heh, I'll actually file those under the "can't remember my life exactly how it happened" category. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  11. I suppose I should publish my own, then, if there are a lot of people out there like you. My moon landing on Apollo 11 and that time I may have invented the silicon microchip (or was it the McGangBang? I can't quite remember) would net me millions! 12. What planet her mind now resides on, I couldn't even begin to guess. "They're going after Eric Holder because he is supporting measures to overturn these voter suppression initiatives in the states. This is no accident. It is no coincidence. It is a plan on the part of the Republicans." Source. “I could have arrested Karl Rove on any given day. I’m not kidding. There’s a prison here in the Capitol. If we had spotted him in the Capitol, we could have arrested him.” Source. Maybe just this once we could all set aside political differences and laugh at this walking embarrassment in the spirit of brotherhood and harmony. 13. I think that is what makes it so 'Commie Boogeyman'. When a company does it, it is by the very definition free market. When a Govt does it and it is compulsory, it is exactly 'Commie Boogeyman'. This. Whole different animal when the government is involved. 14. Only the government would ask a homeless man for his address. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  15. I can put the beginning of the list at the top of my screen and I don't even have to scroll down to see PoliSci! Huzzah. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  16. Hmmmm, apparently the family of the victim is taking issue with this story. Not that I'm surprised, since the coincidental timing of the North Carolina gay marriage vote, Obama's "evolution" into a beautiful progressive butterfly, and this story about Romney bullying a gay student is laughably suspicious. 17. I don't think my second-hand embarrassment has been triggered that badly in quite a while. I'll just assume he was the best and brightest OWS had to offer. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  18. Did...did you even watch the video? What was the very next thing the narrator said after he said he would cut off the supply of cheap energy? Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  19. Clicky'ed. Great video. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  20. That's an unfortunate charge to bring up if they're trying to damage Romney. From a 2008 story by that right-wing zealot Nicholas Kristof at the NYTimes: "Obama's father, who apparently converted to Catholicism while attending a Roman Catholic school, was also polygamous in keeping with local custom, taking an informal Kenyan wife who preceded Obama's mother but remained a consort, according to accounts by local people and the senator himself." 24. I know! Or why liberal policies tend to be more nannying, e.g. if the powers-that-be have limp wrists, they assume everyone else does, too. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  25. This hardly qualifies as news to me, given the wealth of anecdotal evidence I've accumulated over the course of my social interactions. Just sayin'. Clicky. Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
