  4. If you want to learn freeflying from some great teachers, try the Freefly Training Center in Sebastian FL. I think Dave Brown is a great coach and he used to do alot of jumping with Olav. I have never been fortunate enough to meet Olav, but that would be sweet to jump with him. It looks like he will be in sebastian FL, according to these post. If you can't get Olav, try Dave Brown. PJ
  5. I also made my 1st jump on a birdman suit this past weekend. I got a sweet deal on a suit and I'm a proud owner of a GTI. It was so sweet. Im hooked, fo shizzle . Cant wait to meet some other birds at the dropzone.com boogie.
  6. Im glad you had a good time at Jumptown. Thats my home DZ and I was probably there that day. I shoot tandem vid there. Jumptown is probably the best DZ in the NE. I am probably partial because I learned and still jump there. The close to three hour drive has not stopped me from going there for the last 5 years. Id like to meet you the next time you come. See you soon. PJ
  7. Yo Yo Yo, DZ.commers MY name is PJ and my home DZ is Jumptown Orange, MA. Im a newbie here in the forums. I just wanted to say whazup and introduce myself. I've got about 800 jumps now and have been jumping for 5 years. Mostly all of my jumps are freefly. Im psyched because I just picked up a birdman suit. Gonna jump it this weekend for the 1st time. So If you want free beer, come check me out at Jumptown. www.jumptown.com Later everyone, see you all at the Dropzone.com Boogie this winter! PJ
  8. Yo yo yo, Joe Deal. Check out Joe! I came accross this post earlier. I got to spend time with "The Real Deal" before he left on his Journey. Jumptown is my home DZ. Make sure that when he comes to your DZ you get his butt on some freefly loads for me. He kinda goes both ways if you know what I mean. When he comes back home Id like to see him a full blown freeflyer. Ya Joe! Anyway, Joe is a great person. So when you see him say say hello from Jumptown for us. PJ
  9. I just bought a birdman suit, a GTI. I never jumped one before, but Ive always wanted to. If these things go like 90mph or faster, you'd better be able to run quick! I cant wait to fly it this weekend, but I will be deploying a parachute
  10. QuoteCan't wait to see you ALL! Welcome to ARIZONA!! Great Buds, Brews and Views!! Cant wait to see you either. I'll be lookin out for ya
  11. I just got a birdman suit. I have not jumped one before. I currently jump a Stilletto 150 loaded at about 1.3/1. I have about 400 jumps on this canopy. I see that most people recommend non-eliptical. A few say they jump the stilletto, even more highly loaded that me. my experience with the spinnetto is that it almost never opens on heading. I have only had 2 line twists in the 400 jumps. Is it the highly loaded canopy or the twisting tendency that is the issue here? Or is it that with birdman flying you are more likely to get twist on any canopy? During my line twist my canopy flew strait.
  12. Can anyone tell me how crazy I'd be not to get a hotel room? Is it that cold if you have extra blankets and sleeping bag? If anyone tented last year can tell me what to expect that would be sweet. I want to save more money for jumps rather than spend it on a room. I also dont want to be miserable.
  13. I was wondering if anyone is having problems with thier canon cameras in freefall. I sometimes get these low batterey warnings after a few shots are taken. I have had this happen with new bateries. After a few shots are taken the camera goes dead, I shut off and turn back on and its fine. Another problem is witht the switch getting stuck and blowing thru whole rolls. I have a canon shutter release that I modified with a lever switch that triggers the shutter. On real humid days or when I go thru some "industrial haze", is when I notice these problems. The camera eventually works normal again after a few hours or the next day. Anyone out there experiencing these problems. Anyone have suggestions or help?
