    Johnny Gates

What???????????? RIP Johnny. You will always be remembered...
  3. You are right. My favorite scene was the round house kick scene: Billy Jack is surrounded by Posner's thugs] Mr. Posner: You really think those Green Beret Karate tricks are gonna help you against all these boys? Billy Jack: Well, it doesn't look to me like I really have any choice now, does it? Mr. Posner: [laughing] That's right, you don't. Billy Jack: You know what I think I'm gonna do then? Just for the hell of it? Mr. Posner: Tell me. Billy Jack: I'm gonna take this right foot, and I'm gonna whop you on that side of your face... [points to Posner's right cheek] Billy Jack: ...and you wanna know something? There's not a damn thing you're gonna be able to do about it. Mr. Posner: Really? Billy Jack: Really. [round house kicks Posner's right cheek, sending him to the ground] While, the hostage scene, the round house kick scene and "One Tin Soldier" were ok, the acting and direction was seriously lacking.
  4. Bambi - I cried and I can't kill a deer to this day. Billy Jack - Rented it again years later - what a cheesy movie....
  5. Uh Huh, thanks cocheese, this thread is perfect for me. I haven't posted in about five years but I still keep up with you guys. About four years ago, I broke two vertebrae in my back on a tandem jump - my student walked away, so I did my job - but I had to quit. Since then, I have taken up another “safer” sport – firearms competition and instruction. I’ll continue to lurk, keep up with the sport and wish y’all blue skies, favorable winds and turbine aircraft. Love ya - mean it.
  6. I’ve owned and/or wadded up a few cars in my time: '66 Plymouth, 440, 4bbl, 4 speed '54 Chevrolet Pickup – threw a rod – note to self, check the oil '68 Ford Torino – TOTALED – Hoo wee, rain is slick '73 Dodge Challenger – TOTALED – Late for school, didn’t make it '76 Dodge Charger Daytona – WRECKED – my sister and a power pole got in my way '76 Datsun Pickup – what was I thinking? '66 Chevrolet Chevelle, 350 Auto '72 Chevrolet Chevelle, 350, 4 speed '69 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible – WRECKED – Hoo wee, snow is slick '68 Ford Pickup '83 Buick Regal – TOTALED – OH, bright RED means they are stopping '84 Buick Skylark '85 Buick Skylark '84 Ford Mustang, 5.0, - TOTALED – 18 wheeler - NASTY '83 BMW 318i, AMG, - TOTALED – Don’t ask - embarrassing '83 Chevrolet Pickup – TOTALED – 18 wheeler again. 7. I've done a few stadium jumps, not nearly as many as twardo, and I am in the $100 to $300 average per jump range. Airtwardo, did you include one too many zeros in your post? $55,000.00? or did you mean $5500.00? Just curious if we are doing something way wrong? Thanks.
  8. I can't believe this. I'm in shock. Steve, I'll miss you. My family will miss you. You were truly one awesome friend. A true brother. Blue Skies to you, my brother. Keith
  9. Hey Mike, Now that you have broken 100 you need to update your profile numbers 84???? Congrats Man! BTW, I'll see you at MetalFest! Would you mind if I throw an empty water bottle at you from 500 ft? Keith
  10. From the Carolina Skysports Newsletter of 09-27-04: Well, the town of Lake Wales was again struck head on by Jeanne. >Precautions were taken at the airport to protect what they could. The >aircraft left Florida on Friday. Betty's home is safe but no one can >move about to see exactly what condition the airport is in. More rain, >more mud, more frustration!
  11. Nah, I also like them all and I would propose that it is just good TV Or, OMG, maybe its a Southern thing
  12. I kinda like American Chopper myself, 'course I know several people like old Pops. Oh, I should notta... Lord, I apologize for sayin' something contrary to my brother AggieDave, and be with the starvin' Pygmies down there in New Guinea. Amen.
  13. Woo Hoo! Congrats y'all! Awesome job! Call me next time and we'll make it 13 or 100 or something. Old Fart POPS #7459 Current NC and SC POPS formation record holder
  14. IMO, I read somewhere that your stows need to be so tight that you can lift the bag by the lines and they will not unstow. On my main, I use small rubber bands and double wrap each one. Of course, a rigger is the best person to consult for packing techniques.
