  2. True, true, BUT, look for the new Titan core from Alti-2. It will feature an open source development platform with an SDK. So.....you could write whatever toys you wanted and then ask for Alti-2 approval stamp if you wanted to distribute. http://www.alti-2.com/Titan/titan.htm -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  3. Yep, you are not weird. Well not for that anyway. I almost never turn mine off, even if I turn it silent (then I can still see missed calls) With battery life these days why turn it off? I like having it in case of emergencies, and like loved ones to have it in case of emergencies. Additionally, I almost never use my home phone, so anything important is coming to my cell. If you want to go even a step further. I expense my cell phone bill to work, and it is sometimes needed during the day or after hours. While I know it is selfish to assume that people who have a cell phone should be available all the time, it is annoying when people treat it like a wired home phone by leaving it at home, etc. But of course, just because I treat it that way, does not mean they should. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Yeah, and I would be a race car driver, but only if I didn't have to race. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  6. I was only there a week, and I walked the whole island. It was fun that way, got to go slow and see everything. I saw some riders...I think if it was behind riding and driving I would ride.......on a BMW crossover with some body armor :) Oh, and Heidi...worse than Houston? NO WAY! I travel to houston on business regularly...dear and holy crap. Beltway is the best and it still sucks. I have spend so many minutes staring at the section of 45 between the woodlands and 8....ugggg. At least Dallas has DART rail if you live anywhere north. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  12. define flick guy on a bike, girl on a vespa....would you wave, yeah. Odds are the girl would ignore you though. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  13. I had the most kick ass link to a place that did awesome costumes and also lingerie. They had awesome pirate costumes, hence why I was there around halloween. But now I have lost the URL. Some of the coolest themed lingerie ever. But not cheap. and it is pronounced ling ... ga .... reee as far as I am concerned
  14. it is like a vespa on roids. But I think it is safe to say we would all wave at you on a Vespa. Any non riders out there reading this thread going, WTF?! -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  15. AND we still wave at each other....well some don't wave back, but mostly. If you are on two wheels I will wave at you. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  16. BUWHAHA...the post author seekign gore reaction has had enough? I am pretty pleased really, this have been civil, not moved to SC, and very mild compared to some there. We have acknowledged that the cruiser steretype does exist, and I don't like them either. While also proving that sport bike riders think their sterotype does not exist and the media has treated them like poor misunderstand experts. Miss anything? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  17. That may possibly be the best job of pulling out of context I have ever seen in a forum. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  18. First of you are plain wrong. Dave first post in this thread said We clearly differentiated groups of sport bike riders. Something the cruiser comments never did. I am not sure I even feel like responding to the real bike comment. My bike costs twice was a sport bike does, has 3 times the resale, and my gf actually like harleys not plastics. Furthermore, if I had the money, I would have a Buell parked beside my HD and VW. As the point has been made, curiser dont ride wheelis in traffic cause they can't. Go back and reread my posts, I single out groups of sport bike riders very descriptively. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  19. funks...look at the college town part of the statement. I will say it again: People in my age group buy 'crotch rockets' because they think: Rap videos have them and they make girls wet, and speed is cool. Nobody is picking on the import guys that have been riding for 20 years. If you are not aware of the current generations take on sport bikes, you should check it out. Most college rich environments have plenty of wanna-bes, that do exactly what Dave said. wzettler, if I did not know dave I would say the same thing. But, dave and I grew up together and have a tendency to get into every hobby 100%+ There are 'riders' that have ridden for 10 years and have 10K miles under their belt. There are other riders that have ridden for 2 years, have 20K miles under their belt and have ridden books like Proficient Motorcycling. Dave is one of the latter. And just like skydiving, more miles in a shorter timespan means a higher learning curve. Coupled with decent instruction, that creates wisdom and experience. Again to funks, et al., I think you are defending a stereotype that you want to research. If you really want to defend frat boys riding bikes to bars with flipflop clad girls on the back, or wanna rappers riding with the helmet on the footpeg, go for it. But my opinion is staying where it is: get off the road and away from me. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  20. You both have point. An a counter stereotype makes the basis of the first one, no less real. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  23. Meh/ most of that mess stays contained north of town. Although Quiet Riot is playing in downtown Ft. worth for free as a result A coworker said hotels as far north as Gainesville are all booked. Amazingly, with the access road setup and the cops up there, the traffic is much better than it could be on race day. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  24. I call them Access roads and ramps everywhere. But the rest is pretty ture based on my experience in SA. One of the most jacked up one way environments I have been in. Although downtown dallas is almost asbad. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
