  1. When I go home, I will post some more skydiving boobies that I have on my harddrive Not exactly how this thread started, but still they are pictures of skydivers with boobies. And who knows the owner might even be on here And anyway, thread must go on Malachi
  2. This thread is kinda like a pay pron site
  3. The question needs a bit of clarification. An average jump? Because if it is not an average jump...you could go without all of them and do fine. Or with anyone of them and do fine. If you designed the jump, I would say beer because you can do a cross country hop and pop with only the beer and probably be just fine and very happy. As a matter of fact it is best...last time I wore an altimeter and got beer on it :) Malachi
  4. There is also http://www.boobscan.com ( o Y o )
  5. Well, everyone else might like cars and computers, but I am posting BOOBIES!! I don't know what is wrong with the guys here. My car sucks and I work with computers all day. But nothing cures a long day like cuddling with nice tender female flesh. So, get with it guys, breasts should be loved, cherished, carressed, kissed, licked Here is a link to test your breast knowledge -- warning there is nudity By the way I scored 19 out of 20, I know my breasts http://www.twistedhumor.com/ezines/sexebits/2001/may_09/quiz.html JKA, I admire your idea. At least you tried to get breasts posted :) Malachi Edited by flyingferret on 6/12/01 07:28 PM.
  6. Well, it sounds kinda like an email hoax to me. But, I will wait and see. My last two digits are in that first group, so time will tell before too long. Malachi
  7. I am certified as a PADI open water diver. I have never been anywhere other than inland lakes in Texas. Which, is also probably one reason I like jumping better. I live 30 minutes from a good dz. I live hours from a pretty dive site. Still being in college I have never had the money to go to Cozumel, etc. Someday I will. However, (and let me know what you guys think about this) I am more comfortable in the air. I like SCUBA and think it is a very cool feeling. But it makes me just a bit clostrophobic. Somehow 'flying' seems more natural. HA :) Malachi
  8. Zennie, And hobbits like beer :) Although most do not like water, skydiving would be much too adventurous for them. Malachi
  9. This poem was posted a long while ago, when the Aggies over Texas were mourning the loss of their family. While this tragedy is still too recent to move on, I thought these words might comfort some. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep I am the thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glints on snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle Autumn rain When you awaken in the mornings hush I am the swift up-flinging of birds in circling flight I am the soft star that shines at night Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there I did not die Author unknown Malachi
  10. I just received this, thought it might help. On Sunday May the 27th we are sad to say we lost another Family member. While doing a 30 way formation load a female jumper exited a King Air next to last of nine jumpers the other eight avoided the Otter. For what ever reason the deceased was unable to circumvent the impact with the second Aircraft and was pronounced at the seen. After an FAA investigation they found no fault in the pilots of either Aircraft and have labeled it an accident. Our deepest sympathy to all friends and family. 11. JT, I would make sure you have the most recent SIM. It can be downloaded here http:// http://www.uspa.org/Publications/SIM/SIM.pdf and the errata sheet here http:// http://www.uspa.org/Publications/sim_insert_9=20=00.pdf The SIM as I am sure you know has a list of the sections to study for each license. Also, make sure that the copy of the test you are taking is recent and the answer sheet does match it. Just ask your DZO or S&TA. That having been said, when I took my test there wre a few questions that I swear were weird. Like what is the break off altitude for CReW. I was thinking, "What?, I have 20 jumps, I won't be doing CReW for a long time." But as far as I remeber there were not any that did not seem to agree with the SIM. Hope this helps maybe. 12. I am laughing my ass off reading these posts. I am so thankful to have been 'raised' at a 182 DZ full of tradition. As everyone who has been indoctrinated in the traditions of skydiving knows...farting on the way to altitude is perfectly normal. In fact many DZ locals have rating systems for quality and hangtime. However it can be taken too far. If you have the talent to release anything over a 5 (on a 10 point scale) on both quality and hangtime, it should not be repeated more than once or twice a day. Doing so simply frustrates the other passengers who usually respond with mock threats out of jealousy. It can also cause premature jump run, as AggieDave pointed out. I think I was on that load with him, although I seem to remember more than one load like that :) This post has also brought up the issue of throwing up on the plane. I consider myself to be the expert here, and you can argue if you feel you have better qualifications. After getting off sutdent status (14 jumps) until about 45 jumps...I threw up the first jump of every weekend. There was something about the adreneline that just made me anxious/queasy. I would throw up and be just fine, it never stopped me from jumping. It usually came on flight line. But a few times it came in the plane. There was one time I have on video when I was riding solo slot with a tandem in a C-182. LOL, it bothered the tandem student, and the TM told him we do that to float and fall longer. He believed it :) After a while I carried orange biohazard barf bags in my jumpsuit. And then around 50 jumps, just as sudden as it started, I quit doing it. Not sure why I ever did do it. P.S. FFF, I have that NASCAR t-shirt, but I am at work, what is the deal with the name on the suit? Malachi
  13. Yes, he did do it. I met him at the Skydive Texas Valentine's Day boogie. He had been planning it for a while, and was waiting for enough sponsors. I believe he had approximately 20 rigs, 5 packers, and 2 or 3 airplanes. I don't remember the details, but he had a lot of support behind him. Kudos to him and Skydive Texas.
  14. Okay, here goes my .02. I have not seen the ad in question so I am speaking from a rather uneducated standpoint. But I have picked up a few things from the discussion. A) Sis, you have issues with hot dogs. Don't get me wrong some are pretty nasty. But an ice cold beer and a jumbo Ballpark or National Hebrew beef frank are awesome at the end of a DZ day. Plus..skydiving..college? I can't afford steak :) B) Is the girl that 'skanky'? I mean that can be a subjective term. C) And finally, from my business courses I would say that this ad has achieved at least one of the major purposes of advertising which is attention and lots of it. It seems everyone who has seen it remembers it and the company name. Advertising is mostly about name recognition. If anyone has the ad in digital format, I would kinda like to see what the fuss is about. Having input my 2 cents, at least for this skydiver I think the erotic pun with hotdogs is rather obvious. Malachi
  15. That looks awesome. Well....I think.....the props have been shut down for those exits. I realize that a camera at the right speed will 'stop' them, but the detail is awfully accurate and for jumpers to be that close to the props I would imagine they shut them down. That must be one awesome pilot to fly a skyvan inverted. I would love to do that. Maybe we are too lawsuit crazy in the United States to do stuff like that. Malachi
  16. Well I like too many poems to even try and isolate one. But the thread did make me think....Have any of you seen a website with a bunch of old (60s and 70s) skydiving songs? Cannot remember where I saw them, but they are pretty good. Think it might have been a site on the t.u. system.
  17. I believe it was the April...not sure, I don't have in front of me...but will try to look Malachi
  18. I think someone was looking for this. http://www.inlink.com/~sanyo/gitchelchute.zip Malachi
  19. Kinda off topic....I was reading an article on Troy Hartman (the senseless acts of video guy) in Playboy. Yes, I was actually reading the articles. Anyway, he was a flight instructor at the Air Force Academy. He had a rep for hotdogging, flying under bridges, etc. One day he was buzzing cattle and got too low. He actually fricking hit the cow in a trainer. Killed the cow, crashed the plane, and luckily walked away. But the Academy was not real happy and kicked him out 4 months from graduation. Then he started feeling pretty crappy about himself and started skydiving. Anyway, kinda interesting. Malachi
  20. Well Pammi, as much as I would like to say it has a neat story like jumping with pets behind it....it really doesn't. I like to jump and I like ferrets (although I dont have one). Also, I play Quake and other games under the nick of Rodent. I don't know I guess I just picked it for lack of a better one. By the way, I know Freaksis....came from the same S/L DZ she did. Although, she never jumps with me anymore :( But I saw her on your webpage. How is OKC? Myself and AggieDave were thinking about making a roadtrip up there this summer. 21. In reply to: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ...rig a pair of swimming flippers for a tracking jump. See if I could totally haul A@@! :-) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do NOT listen to this man. He has jumped with a pumpkin on his head :). I was there. Actually, Dave I think we just found something to add to our 'try it while they are not looking' list Blue ones Malachi
  22. Saw this tonight...immediately wondered about the BASE possibilities, although the shape is kinda wierd. http://www.sunday-times.co.uk/news/pages/sti/2001/02/25/stifgnfar02001.html
  23. While I agree with Dave...(I jump with him so...you know), I personally prefer MGD if I want a smooth beer to drink a lot of. If I want really good flavor I drink Shiner Bock, or Anchor Steam...a small micro brew from San Francisco. Of course in reality, any beer in the DZ fridge will get consumed :)
  24. I am writing this letter after the recent crash of a plane at Skydive Texas. A lot of thoughts have gone through my head in the 24 hours since the crash, and I would like to share a few. My thoughts were not caused by the recent crash, however it was very close to home and brought my th oughts into focus. In the 9 months that I have been involved in skydiving, I have been impressed with the safety precautions of the sport. I have often said that the jump was safer than the drive to the airport. During these 9 months I have read everything I could find about skydiving, including the incident reports. I have read about tragedy caused by equipment, poor training, etc. However these mishaps have always reminded me the value of training and preparation. After the unfortunate crash yesterday, I began to seriously doubt some of the safety issues surrounding our sport. The past year has seen quite a few injuries and deaths connected to skydiving, but caused by aviation. When an airplane I had jumped before went down, I really started to think about this. Your equipment can be pristine, your harness training can be recent, but if a mechanic cuts a corner or a part fails you may be injured or killed by a danger totally beyond your control. Last night as I considered this, I even thought about taking a break from jumping for a while. I questioned how a jumper would know if an airplane is meticulously maintained. Sometimes on a small DZ this is possible, but far more frequently it is not. When you ride that plane you put your faith and your life in the hands of the DZ owner, the mechanic, and the pilot. I began to question some of those hands. After 24 hours the perspective has come full circle. I am uninformed concerning the regulations of aircraft maintenance and am still aware of cases in the news where faulty maintenance caused injuries and fatalities. I am unsure how we as a community should address those cases, but in my mind they must be considered. However, as the story solidifies surrounding the crash at Skydive Texas, I am once again reminded of the skill of professionals in our sport. My thanks to every pilot I have flown with. The r ecent crash now seems an excellent example of a potentially tragic situation controlled by God’s help and a very capable pilot. I will continue to jump and definitely use seatbelts and helmets on every load. While I may choose my jump planes a bit more carefully, any plane flown by Tom Bishop is on that list. Prayers to all those injured, and excellent flying Tom. Malachi Russler A-36401
