  1. Great, they let anyone in here now! Haven't seen you in a while man. Skillet -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  2. Are we allowed to pitch a tent on the airport? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  3. Hmmm, I think I remember recommending this to you four million moltons ago. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  4. I have no idea if I left the plane before or after you, but I remember the smell of alcohol and fear. We didn't learn that smell was normal until the next jump.
  5. Thanks for the full advice. I will be there and enjoy the 17th regardless of the missed parade. FYI, yeah my buddies know, but I am a planner they arent. I have found it helps to know more than they do when visiting :) When you live in a city, sometimes you go right past stuff. Metromix is great, but the bulk of information is REALLY hard to sort sometimes, they should allow you drill down better in searches. As for GA....meh...there is more to life than skydiving...shocking I know, but true. A trip to GA, would cost me WAY more than my $200 to Chitown :) -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  6. For those of you in Chitown, help me out. I can get a cheap-ish ticket ($220) to Chicago over Saint Patty's weekend. I have a few buddies up there, and I always love going up there. BUT...for some reason...it sounds like all the festivities are the weekend before, even though St. Patty's is on a Friday. So those of you that are up there help me out. How much will still be going on on the 17th? Will everyone be greened out by then, and just another friday? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  7. And...I....don't wanna die, I just wanna ride on my motorcyyyyyyy.....cle. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  8. Nice sporties dude. I like my T88B better. but those are really nice bikes for sporties. Attached ar a few of mine, although none too recent. A few recent changes, and more pending right now, including micro lazer turnsignals, passing lamps, headlight modulator, VH 2 into 1, bags, etc. She is an 02 Fatboy FI, and has about 21k. Been to Sturgis and back, Oakland and back, and tons of smaller rides. I have some aftermarket goodies including a dynojet PowerCommander IIIr FI computer. I run Metzler ME 880 tires and Lyndal Racing Zpad brakes. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  10. Would you mind if I re-posted/emailed this? Any author credits? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  11. Kinda, but no coffee involved. What up bro? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  12. YES! Phenomenal day. Various new items last night and today. And leaving to go skiing at 8pm tonight. This might be the best friday the 13th ever. 2006 is looking like a good year. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  13. I agree, I think of it as a cone really...like a jet fighter calling the ball approaching the carrier. Go read about how those work, and you will see the analogy is pretty good. You start out with a large field of vision, and you make small corrections watching the adjustments in the perspective of the ball. At some point you have to give your all and attempt to land. There is a point where you have to commit to 'final approach' and see if the connection is there. Because really, if you half ass it and you connect. Well really what does that say, if you were not really that into it. Your reactions at full tilt might be totally different. So...you commit to an attempt and you try to snag that number 3 wire. If you don't you have to immediately hit full throttles and clear the deck. You circle and then reapproach. In essence, you might not make every landing you commit to. But you are very unlikely to make one that you don't commit to. So, if you miss one...the 'right' procedure for approach doesn't change for the next one. The angle of approach may, but the procedure for flying it is the same. So, I think that if you are really looking for 'The One' you have to be willing to be "The One" If it connects, it connects....who knows how fast it could go. Just my thoughts, I could be full of it. But it makes for interesting conversation with friends. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  14. Yeah, I used to be kind of that way. Except I accepted the work, and worked, and worked, and worked, and then finally realized they were not a good fit. I see it very differently now, but I still believe in the magic of the connection, hence my curiousity. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  15. I guess I left him out of respect, but he is at the bottom of the list. Then again I have like 13 friends :) If I dont know you in real life, or we strike up a pretty good conversation...probably no friend status for you -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  16. I was arguing about this with a few friends and was interested to hear other people opinions. How fast have you or your friends gone from meeting someone to knowing they were The One? And how did it work out? And yes I want opinions, there is no universal right answer. So if you think you have one, go post it elsewhere. I personally think that the capabilities of two human souls traveling in unison are limitless. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  17. Uh...that would be the guy that invented and runs myspace. Hence why everyone starts with him as a friend. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  18. Dave and I have perfected the Chili Omelette, at various places including the Kettle, and a cool little place called Pams in Granbury, TX. Dave can flat put it down. I am gonna say that personally I have to do about 3 eggs. I think dave's omelette ties for my perfect breakfast with 3 eggs over medium, and crispy hashbrowns. With the yolks chopped and mixed evenly with bites of hashbrown. MMMMMM. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  19. Someone from Skydive Texas has set up a back account we found out yesterday. We will be linking to that account. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  20. Long way around is AWESOME! My longest is on a motorcycle: Dallas, Texas to Napa, California....and then back; 2 and a half days each way. That is some riding baby! -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  21. Thanks, called them. Long story short...in order to do a new account you have to link it to a bank account, and you have to have access to that bank account to verify it. Which you must do to accept more than $500. So anyway you cut it, it sounds like it is going into my account. I am not gonna bother the wife to setup and verify an account right now. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  22. Has anyone ever setup a paypal account for donations before? A jumper friend of mine was in a horrible headon accident last night, his wife is due to deliver in two weeks, and they are gonna need some help. So the DZ family is gonna get some money together. I thought that paypal would be the easiest. I have a merchant account, but it looks kinda tacky going to my account, you think? Any experience setting one up for donations? Surely someone out there has. If so, can you reply or pm me. Thanks. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  23. Thanks for the advice guys. I went to the original Freebirds the first day in...it was HORRENDOUS. Perhaps it switched owners, or maybe Texas just evolved the burrito. But this one blows! Only one kind of tortilla, none of the same sauce options, SLOPPY serving and rolling. After driving 5 hours from LA up PCH and needing a burrito, I was sorely disappointed. Tried Cold Springs Tavern...that place rocks. Gorgeous drive to find it...I would love the route on a bike, or something other than a rental car. Had a chili sampler with Wild game chili, green chile chili, and Texas style house chili. The last was funny sorta, cause did not taste much like what we eat here :) BUt all very good. Followed that with a 22oz Island Brewing Company blonde and a buffalo burger. The food and atmosphere at the tavern is awesome. Also hit the wharf for beers, Brophy Bros for fresh thresher shark, and some burrito place on state street at like 2am on New Years (sadly, they kicked Freebirds ass). Even tried In and Out burger (double double, animal style) which was much more palatable than the other time I ate there. All in all, Santa Barbara is an awesome place...the rain just sucked. There is a B&B/campground sort of called El Capitan Canyon just north of Goletta that is really cool, I would have like more nights to stay there! -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  24. Ha...freebirds world burrito is a relegion here too :) Maybe I need another shirt. Thanks for the advice...will try some good stuff and maybe freebirds. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  25. Flying out to cali for a few days for a wedding and new years. Any recommendations for food or otherwise in the Santa Barbara area? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
