  2. I think he is one of the Record Evaluators. Look, one of the other evaluators had one on his head too!
  3. In the picture numbered '1982', why is there an "E" on the back of that guys head? Does that stand for world rEcord or something?
  4. Dang Vectra, that's awesome. Wish I could be there. Lets hear it when it happens for sure.
  5. Pics...Numbers...Anything? I think it starts tomorrow (well today in about 35 minutes).
  6. No, but I wouldn't wanta die without a D license. That would be corny. I got one so I'm cool. Don't die corny, go get your D.
  7. Can any riggers (or sewing specialists) tell me if drag can be added to a freefly suit fairly easily? I'm thinking of adding material by the very lower legs and forearms.
  8. Hey Val. Who does team dysfunction include please?
  9. "Respect the penis and love the man." ...or is it the other way around?
  10. being "held on to" throughout a skydive is only going to teach you very little of what you will need to know to be a safe head down pilot. i've been freeflying for almost ten years. one of the things a flyer needs in the sky is control over a bunch of things....altitude awareness, your position in the sky and how to maneuver, and a bunch of other safety factors. things are amplified in freefly because of the speed difference. it may be only 40 to 60 mph more, but it is exponential. my suggestion is to get with some one at your dz, or the nearest large dz, that has a lot of freefly jumps and seems to be the most serious about flying. pay them for a handleful of jumps for a few days if possible. learn all you can about flying....not just head down. i agree that head down is super fun. feels like being superman. it is totally great; but it requires a lot of precaution. the precautions become more instinct as you get better, but take it one step at a time and you'll master it. peace.
  11. Video of the final test has gotta be a good watch.
  12. if you send me some dough, i can go to Staples and make you a quality color copy of mine. the you can just change the name and your AD number on it to be yours.
  13. That is great!!! It really is an amazing achievement. And to think that the test has only been around for 8 years and there are already four people on the planet to have passed.
  14. Hey Override, If you are looking for the exact opposite, I have just the dropzone for you. Just PM me. The home DZ will treat you like shit, like you have less experience than anyone, and talk shit about you to your face. And when you go to other dropzones in the area they will treat you like gold. Let me know.
  15. Perhaps you can offer why for the info in return. Not that I know it. Otherwise, with just a couple of posts, it seems a bit like trolling.
  16. Look...ah just my 2 cents here: The sitflyer was pushed and may have been backsliding just a little bit. the head downer side-slid and then turn at the sitflyer and increased forward speed instead of slowing it. I would argue that the hit, while hard, was not as bad as it appears. That is a highly keystoned fish-eye lens. So when your close things are magnified and things far away are demagnified. This will account for some part of the quick approach on the head-downers part. Regardless. I don't know about the camera flyer, but the other guys have little business on a four way. Levels were off. Eye contact was off. Apparently no base is set. Those head-downers should not be head-downing with others. Glad the receiver (sitflyer) had a face mask on. It looks like the sitflyer caught the guys arm. This probably obsorbed a lot of the collision. A few feet higher and to the right, this could have cause a concussion in mid air. I had a concussion in mid-air once. Smacked right in the jaw and got stiches. Please, you don't want to be hit that hard in freefall. It completely disorients you. Waking up and seeing yourself in freefall all-of-a-sudden is uncool. Either trust the people you are flying with or have an eye on them during the jump is probably the best rule. Coaching at that level...yes, someone said that I think. Probably a good thought too. Just trying to help along with avoiding this kind of thing.
  17. Didn't know you as well as some in here, but perhaps a little more than others for a short time: I think you were careful and skillful dude. Don't know what happened. Don't really care - just that you get to fly elsewhere. I know you were the only guy in America with a "______" kind of main(what kind of canopy was that called?). From where? Anyway, that told me that you walked your own road man, and that's cool. I'm with that. You made a chunk of bread on that pad you had in the city and were like, "How much you gonna give me for my condo?!!!.....aahhhhh, sold! Guess I'll go freefly and swoop all over the world now." Good jumps man. Lots of fun stuff up there with you. Too bad we couldn't have done more sometime. You had a lot of positive vibes to offer and we shared some air. To the last member of our team. Blue sky's and fly forever man. Dave C
  18. Do you mean "ALIENS" in the sense that there is life on other planets? Because if you do, then you can't call them aliens. It is just "life on other planets". If they come to visit us, then they are aliens. Or if we go to see them, then we are the aliens. Technically, we are aliens to the moon or mars if we ever do that. As for the concept of life on other planets, I have no choice but to believe in that. But lets face it; their god has to be the same as our god...cause if not, then god couldn't be god at all. That is, if god is all-knowing and the creator of everything. The concept of travelling across the galaxy to visit another solar system to find out the truth is a highly mortal idea. I don't really quite understand how someone could not believe in 'EVOLUTION' either. We friggin evolve everytime we have a baby on this planet. Don't we?
  19. Dude is hauling ass about 30 seconds into it...as he goes by that ski lodge (or building). Hope they are mindful of it all.
