Did you honestly believe that Saddam got rid of his weapons! Alot of people now say WMD this and WMD that. Where were these people before the war? The argument then was: George H.W. Bush should have finished the job in '91, or N.Korea is the bigger threat". Do you think this President Bush wanted this? He didn't have a choice. Cowardice was the only other option. Weakness only encourages predators. I firmly believe, if the US and the world would have presented a more unified front; Saddam would have caved; and war would not have been required. Same thing with Hitler in '32. The only way to have peace, prosperity and knowledge in the world is the squash the criminals and oppressors. We all should be thanking both Bushes for their selfless courage. I am sure that seeing our young killed and maimed every day is devastating to the President. Doing nothing would have been easier. Oh, I get it! We in America are free, even encouraged to disagree with our leaders. The only problem is: Many well meaning but naive people only parrot the enemy's propaganda. George Bush did not invade a poor little Arab nation for its oil, or to avenge his father's assassination attempt. The United State of America's armed forces along with allies liberated a captive nation, just as our fathers and grandfathers did for Germany, Poland, China, Italy, Philapines, and France- twice!! It is easy and trendy to repeat what other stylish people are repeating. It is difficult although to think thru matters and to act accordingly. Don't you think al-Qaeda has a Madison avenue pumping out P.R. for their cause. The time to whine about poor Saddam was before the war. Believing and encouraging their lies adds aid and comfort to an enemy that doesn't obey the basic tennants of civilization. The end is not yet written; theycan still win! I know that it must really be confusing to have a leader that says what he means and means what he says. The anti-Bush folks are just that anti. Congrats on taking the plunge! On your honeymoon Dana Point is a great idea! Hwy 74 runs from the Coast in Dana Point: Del Obisbo starts at Pacific Coast Highway at Dana Point Harbor and turns into Ortega Hwy which runs thru Elsinore all the way to Perris just blocks from Perris Valley Skydiving. Beautiful yet scary mountain drive. Great romantic lookouts!! There are many nice hotels on the coast. Ditto on the Ritz. The Holiday Inn Express is nice and much less. The Ritz is right on the cliffs above the harbor. Dana Point and Laguna beach are great walking destinations. Perris and Elsinore, outside of the dropzones, are poor and ugly. Not the best for a honeymoon. Take a day and catch the Catalina express to Catalina Island. You will remember it forever. Hope I helped. Email me for my number. When you get to the coast.
