Ever got a bruise like this from leg strap?
skycurlycat replied to cvfd1399's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
oh yeah, its normal to get bruises especially if the rig isn't fit right for you. When I was going thru AFF and using the student rigs which had huge leg straps, I would get bruises all over my inner thighs... one other thing, expect to get bruises if you get SLAMMED on your openings. Comes with the sport... PMS #113 PMTS #19 -

Oh fine . . . and now we're getting earthquakes!
skycurlycat replied to quade's topic in The Bonfire
3.7...humm...not a big deal to me...usually 5.5 or up gets me nervous...been in a few especially after the big Northridge earthquake back in 94...so glad I wasn't there for that big one though...plenty stories from my friends who were survivers from that one! looked like a bomb had hit the town all over. I've felt the aftershocks and some tend to get little scary cuz some have been for more than 10-15 seconds and get stronger each second... sending good vibes to CA, rain rain rain please! but not too much to prevent mudslides... Which camera suit you prefer/Bev or Tony?
skycurlycat replied to skycurlycat's topic in Gear and Rigging
I think I like the "Tev" more since its little easier to order and the color patterns are much better...well more of my colors that I want. Will look into the Zute camera suit too -
Which camera suit you prefer/Bev or Tony?
skycurlycat replied to skycurlycat's topic in Gear and Rigging
I'm looking into doing tandem and RW videos...I want booties on my suit. One thing about Tony's stuff is that there are lot to choose from and ack, don't want to choose the wrong one. Geez, 6 different types on the booties too...with no details or pictures of what they look like. 4 different wing styles but where does it say (small, medium and large) on the order form...humm. Maybe I didn't catch it on the form. I have a space suit from Tony and I love it. I haven't ordered from Bev but thought about it since I like their color patterns better, know they're known for making female suits, and lil cheaper...ahh...so many decisions to make!!!! I did my research on all suits(flite,firefly,merlin,etc..) so just narrowed it down to Bev and Tony. PMS #113 PMTS #19 -

I'm in the process of trying to decide on which camera suit to order. Could use some feedback on this. Anyone out there with Bev or Tony camera suit, drop in a line and let me know how you guys like it. Thanks -

Your favorite helmet - Mindwarp or Velocity
skycurlycat replied to ChefJoeR's topic in Gear and Rigging
I don't have either but I've heard so many good things about Mindwarp...even lot of locals at my dz have them and love them. I even borrowed it a few times to check it out and love it. Fits great and comfortable. I would get one but I'm saving up my money for a Bonehead Optik so I can shoot video soon -
Orange Boogie - less than 24hrs to go!
skycurlycat replied to tans's topic in Events & Places to Jump
doubt you'll get to go up in the balloon on Sat afternoon, so far from what I've heard, they're only doing it at 6AM on Saturday morning while the winds are calm. but other than that, you'll have plenty other air craft to jump outta..don't forget they have a helicopter too!! PMS #113 PMTS #19 -
oh yeah! Taco Bell!!! Also love eating pizza when drunk too. PMS #113 PMTS #19
