  1. Soooo, you would recommend what humankind has done over the last several millennium; adapt or move. No carbon trading scheme, no subsidies for solar or wind. Just let mankind adapt to a slowly changing environment like it has always done. Sold! I am with you Bill! 100%
  2. No argument here. Where is Kalland, Quade, and Amazon? It is no fun arguing with Bill because he is somewhat reasonable. I want to play with the crazies.
  3. Yes, you live in socal and use solar, others live in Wyoming and use wind; that is all great I support it 100%. I live in PA and use coal and nuclear. Why cant you live and let live. I wont harsh on your buzz so please don’t harsh on mine.
  4. I live 2 miles from the coal fired plant that provides for penn state. Still lots of snow on the ground.
  5. Quick google search of "save the planet" and compact fluorescent, resulted in about 470,000 articles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLkzz6r-yko George Carlin on saving the planet
  6. Oh I thought all of the warmists were trying to "save the planet" I dont know where I got that from.
  7. You miss the point. How many plug in cars, LED bulbs, and solar panels do we have to buy before the oceans cease rising and the planet starts healingl?
  8. Yes we just have to drive plug in cars, use poisonous light bulbs and pay $500 per month in electricity bills then everything will be just fine.
  9. The last two years of debate wrapped up in 5 min. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdxaxJNs15s (Bill Von, Kalland, Amazon and Quade are represended by the woman.)
  10. Wind is ending up looking like the boondoggle that corn ethanol turned out to be. Needs to be propped up by the tax payer to stand a chance. Once the subsidies are removed, it collapses, leaving a lot of nice BASE sites all around the country. The fact that Pickens is getting out of the wind business is telling. With his billions he has the resources to really tell which way the wind is blowing and is acting accordingly.
  11. Well they should send of the "people who are good at wind" to Scotland. During the last big storm when demand was near an all time high, Scotland's wind turbines were operation at less than 3% of capacity. http://theblogprof.blogspot.com/2010/12/irony-scotland-wind-turbines-freeze.html
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQNHBUqfLnM sorry
  13. The question still remains; is taking down a wind turbine a green job?
  14. Kallend lets get back to the point. Do you think that the fish die off in the Chesapeake from the cold was due to the warm? http://musicifi.com/gossip/Massive-Fish-Kill-in-the-Chesapeake-Bay-Is-American-Wildlife-Cursed-4471331.html You must be so smart that you think that Socrates and Plato were morons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQNHBUqfLnM [url]
  15. I wonder what the investment potential is in a hot air powered wind farm generatingfacility near State College is. There seems to be an abundant quantity based on denier "science" near there. You mean warmist science, Mr. global warming himself (Michael Mann, conjuror of the hockey stick graph) is a neighbor, and Penn State is at the epicenter of AGW mythology.
  16. http://hardware.slashdot.org/story/10/12/25/1348212/Pickens-Wind-Power-Plan-Comes-To-a-Whimpering-End?from=rss "Unfortunately market forces were not favorable to Mr. Pickens, and in December 2010 he announced that he is getting out of the wind power business. What does he plan to do with his $2 billion worth of idle wind turbines? He is trying to sell them to Canada, because of Canadian law that mandates consumers to buy more renewable electricity regardless of cost.""
  17. Not to mention the simulative effect of all of those unemployment checks that will be going out to everyone on the Chicago climate exchange! Again more good news.
  18. I’m just a glass is half full guy. It is a good news story: wind mill goes up = jobs... wind mill comes down = more jobs. I was just asking if they count as green jobs.
  19. I just posed a query. How can a question be, not true?
  20. another one bites the dust http://www.nytimes.com/cwire/2011/01/03/03climatewire-chicago-climate-exchange-closes-but-keeps-ey-78598.html?pagewanted=all
  21. http://green.autoblog.com/2009/07/08/t-boone-pickens-wind-farm-plan-dies-out/ Question: Is it a green job when you take DOWN a wind turbine?
  22. Kalland proves the old axiom "those who can't do, teach.
  23. Possibly one of the stupidest things I've ever read. It's not about being "more powerful." It's about fucking it up, which we've proven time and time again we're more than capable of doing. When you say "we" do you mean you and Amazon?
  24. From the article 2 posts back "It essentially means that one of the most important inputs to climatologists' carefully crafted computer models is drastically flawed." Poop in poop out. Quade, Kalland, Everything you thougt you knew was wrong.
