Well then if it is cheaper there is no need for cap and trade; market forces will price coal out of the market.

Do you understand economics much? Big company (electric utility) pays for carbon credit, and that cost is passed down to EVERYONE who uses electricity. (EVEN IF YOUR POWER IS NOT PRODUCED BY COAL YOUR COSTS WILL GO UP AS WELL (if you don’t understand this take a macro econ class)) A small business will pass those costs down to its consumers if the market will bear it. If the market won’t; that company shuts down, people get laid off, and jobs go to China and India. Which coincidentally will make those same products at a much higher co2 output making the whole exercise counter productive from an environmental perspective. Question...Why do you hate the earth?

With regards to tonight’s show, could somebody please refute Beck's assertions? Yes I know that he is a crazy, asshole and a racist and a homophobe and I know he hates poor people., but on a factual basis, where was he wrong on the whole cap and trade scheme? Where are the lies?
