  1. Good for you Bill, but just because I take issue with my tax dollars subsidizing Elon Musk's toys-for-upper-middle-class-boys factory, doesn't make me a Luddite
  2. Keep setting up that straw man to knock down as you seem to have difficulty with the real thing. BTW the Amish are alive and well here in central PA.
  3. I would characterize it as stupid, wasteful, failure shoved down my throat.
  4. Cost: trillions Benefit: zero https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CMpd9Z8Uugg
  5. Just like all of the other alarmist, (Kallend, Bill V, et al). Your candor is refreshing.
  6. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=12rKlxlVKTw Nearly a decade with a fever and we are still here. Can't be much of a fever.
  7. Reminds me of warmist hysteria, if it rains, global warming; if it is hot, global warming; drought, global warming; cold, global warming. Regardless of the set of facts, it is all global warming.
  8. The problem with your bullet-in-the-brain metaphor is that unlike a bullet, there is no evidence that warmer temperatures are deleterious, man made or otherwise.
  9. You forgot to add oxygen, water vapor, clouds, precipitation, oceans, lakes, a biosphere, reinforcing and mitigating feedbacks, oceanic and atmospheric circulations, solar variability, etc etc. Not as straight forward as your little desktop experiment.
  10. Not CO2 levels. Which is the salient fact, along with the rate of change. You also use arguments that are not really germane to the point. Long term historic climate change is real. But completely irrelevant to what is happening now. Correlation does not imply causation. Don't feel bad, it is a confusion that many suffer from.
  11. And have been since the end of the last ice age.
  12. The Arctic was supposed to be ice free by 2013.
  13. Evil might be subjective moral judgement based on ones point of view. In this particular case, stupid seems pretty objective. It depends on what your definition of "is" is. Seriously? Do people really even consider that a big deal compared to what has gone on in just the last couple of weeks with Trump's flagrant indifference to conflict of interest? LOL I almost took you seriously. Good one, you almost got me.

  15. That is the question you ask of the people who voted for him. What other choice did they have? Voting for virtually anyone else or even abstaining. They had quite a few options, however, if they voted for Trump, they voted for an unqualified and possibly dangerous person. I wrote in Mickey Mouse. My wife, Condoleezza Rice. I would have voted for Ms. Rice but I could not spell her name. As I told a progressive friend of mine when she asked what should she tell her children, I said the election represented the triumph of stupid over evil.

  17. Agreed, my nine week old lab has a better grasp of string theory, than Trump has of third grade civics.
  18. On the other hand there is all this: http://addictinginfo.org/2012/05/12/150-achievements-of-liberalism-that-conservatives-seek-to-destroy/ History marches on and progress continues. It's like the tide. And like sea level rise. Can't be stopped. You need to tighten up your metaphors bro.
  19. I know it has been a tough couple of weeks for the left. Trump wins, Castro dies, Venezuela in collapse, record oil and gas find, Obama's legacy is reduced to the closing of Gitmo.... oh wait, as I said a tough couple of weeks.
  20. My condolences for the passing of one of your heroes.
  21. Thinking? Trump is incapable of thinking. He mirrors the audience he is in front of, he is a puppet. As long as Reince Priebus can keep Schumer and Pelosi away from him we will be fine.
  22. That was the change from 2014 to 2015. Your radio lied to you again. You should get it checked. The drop in 2015 was due to the increase in scrutiny brought on by HRC's presidential bid and the book "Clinton Cash." Watch now as donations plummet. Norway just announced a 90% reduction in their contributions, with many more to follow.
  23. If Trumps pick of Myron Ebell as head of transition for EPA is any indication, we won't have to listen to this silliness for much longer. Senator Inhofe for EPA and Governor Perry to head up DOE!
  24. The same way Obama funded his not-shovel-ready stimulus.
  25. f And what does that get us? NOTHING! OTOH we could have invested that money on schools roads and bridges, making a real difference in people's lives and moving our country forward.
