  6. You know, I have to say that I hope that at least you are enjoying the fact that this thread has somehow turned into another sex thread. I went to bed last night and all was fine, I got up this morning just to find out that due to "strategic positioning" I somehow made Skymama's ass hurt... And she just got married...
  7. I guess I have to ask the question, Am I the one who made Skymama's ass hurt...???!!! WOOHOO!!!
  8. I broke your record long ago in THIS thread. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Doug *** I ain't clickin' on it...
  9. I don't know it this is a record or anything, but I just don't go there anymore...
  10. Yeah, if I go, hell just may freeze over! Bobbi *** Be careful, that would be detrimental to DZ business world wide...
  11. this Christmas? Anyone going to midnight service? My oldest son (soon to be 13)said that he would like to attend church this sunday. I feel I need to do that for him. Now I just need to find a church that I feel comfortable with. My choices are either the Methodist church, Church of God, or the Episcopal church. Bobbi *** I am so amazed...I gave this thread about three seconds before it was already in SC and on fire, yet during this season everyone seems to have put on their mellow hats and allowed for innocent discussion about church. I am so proud of all of you! And yes, I'll be there Merry Christmas!!!!
  12. We had a blast that year. The very first jump we made when we got there, we landed like 4 miles from the airport. I mean I don't think I ever even saw the airport. Me and a couple of the guys landed in a yard that had a swimming pool and people in it. I was thinking hot chicks, but it was a bunch of kids. We all we on the ground and the kids were looking at us and I said. "Is your Mommy home?" Everybody busted out laughing... We were all packed before someone even picked us up... Seems like I remember McGowan having a total or a pilot chute in tow and riding his reserve that day...
  13. On the dean's list and I get nothing.... Where is the love???? Back to the books....
  14. Congrats! and great job. I am also in school, full time (16 hours this semester) working full-time, but I have my wife at home helping keep everything going in the right direction. I currently have a 3.8 GPA, but if I do well on my exams, this semester I may end up with a 4.0. Studing now for my Spanish exam in a few hours... No comprendo! Hang in there!
  15. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She is too cute to be Billy's -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's more like it -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *** Oh she is cute!!!! And ah...she is all Billy's, all you have to do is be around her and you will find that out, unless your me...and she likes me!!!
  16. IMO, the only problem I can see with the St. George location is that there is a limited support infrastructure and the amount of people you could potentially draw could quickly overwhelm the DZ and the local community. Other than that, I had a good time there. *** I often worried about whether or not the "town" could handle the Harvest Moon Boogie. We had over 140 registered jumpers on a few occasions and there were always plenty of motel rooms, although the DZ showers and "indoor" toilets were maxed, it seemed that everything else was ok. Even "Georgio's" handled the crowd well (Thanks Ms. Nancy!). I don't know that St. George is the "best" venue for any boogie, I just remember the boogie always took on a life of it's own and despite the crowds, the town seemed to handle the boogie pretty well too. Of course, my opinion may be just ever so slightly biased... And just for the record, last I heard, the lock was still on the rotating beacon...
  17. I have thought about the Harvest Moon Boogie and asking the permission of the previous owner and local jumpers to do that. I would never just claim an event. I'm not sure if I could do it justice. Jack put on one hell of a boogie. I have also heard rumors of a possible reopening of Blue Sky Adventures in which case it would need to stay there. *** Who said you had to move it??? There always was a certain "vibe" at the DZ (BSA) and the HMB. I bet Jack would even come down for the boogie!! You have my vote, HMB Revived!!! Tim Horan and The Skydive band!!!! Dude, only you could pull it off!!

  20. Beezy was one of those people who stuck it out in the sport. He was patient, innovative, kind, and full of knowledge. He always came to the table with ideas or solutions, but he never came with problems that he didn't want to see solved. Yes, Beezy was one of the good guys... He worked hard in this industry and his participation, though many times unrecognized, was important to the progression of the sport. He came to a couple of the HMB Boogies, and he and I shared many phone calls. Beezy my friend, you will be greatly missed. My prayers to the family.
  21. Just claiming the DZ did not exist is not bad. They use to claim any DZ that a customer mentioned that didn't take their certificates was the most dangerous DZ around. *** Chris, If I were still in business, I would do a prepay tandem deal with skyride, however for me to accept a prepay tandem the cost would have to be associated with the loss of up jumper business I may lose based on the "you deal with those scumbags" theory. I am thinking $895.00 prepay per tandem would be fine, then of course there is the additional pilot chute charge... And yes, I have meet and delt with Cary who was talking to me about buying my DZ, and while he was there, he had my 877 RIP CORD phone number forwarded to his offices, plain and simple stole it through one of his trusted employees, merely forwarding it while they were at my DZ. Because the local phone continued to ring, we had no idea why all of a sudden our tandem business started falling off. I know, it was my fault for not having it password protected and I was an idiot. It was about 6 weeks before we figured it out and that was because we had tandems show up who insisted that they had paid by credit card on my toll free number. Ryan, give it up, you work for the lowest form of life there is...
  22. I would have to loof back and find the year, but I feel sure that this was in 1990, however, at the Herd Boogie, supported by Caribou (3 0r 4 I think) they had the tiki bar right down the road and had a volkswagen that they had taken a cutting torch and turned into a convertible. Once the sofa was attached to the back, it made for a classy ride back and forth to the bar. It was Saturday night (ok, sometime Sunday morning), after the wet t-shirt contest and the bonfire was going good. I don't remember the driver, just that he drove the car into the fire, got out and walked off... It was the first weekend off for me and my new girlfriend, she married me a few years later priceless...
