And I was going to ask my rigger but he is on vacation and I feel this question can be properly handled by the fine men and extra fine women of dropzone.com. So I am buy a used rig and it has a raven 1 in it, and I have read lots of threads on the comparison of raven to PD. Now I jump a 176 PD reserve right now, but have never had to use it. So my question is, can I trust a raven until I buy a PD again or are they good canopies and I should just jump with the Raven. Well, I am a firefighter/ Paramedic, so everyday I go to work I get a little juiced. But what really turns it up is when those tones go off and the lights come on. We wait to see where we're going next and the the dispatcher says "medic 91, engine 91, engine 92, engine 93, LT92, chief 90.........Full alarm structure fire" Then we race to the engine bay and quickly put our gear on. Hall ass to the fire and kick it in the face. A good code arrest gets the blood flowing, but more sad in the end because only about 2% of all true codes accualy make it. I went to skydive Hawaii while I was on my holiday vacation. It was a nice experience and a great three jumps. The views were awesome and the weather was perfect. To me it doesn't matter which dropzone you go to (Skydive Hawaii or Pacific Skydive)as long as you get to jump this amazing view.

Bell 412 are used for air ambulance's all the time. Very powerfull and can carrie a lot of wieght, both heighly disired in emergency air opperations. The fast that they have more room then a A-Star makes them a great patient transport vehicle. I wil give you that there 206 and 407 see a little more use in the medical feild. After working hard all year round (all 11 days a month) I get to take my vacation days (all paid 13 of them) and go to hawaii for Christmas. So no fires for me, no bleeding patient, no 2 am emergency traffic, no sirens, just sun, beach wife and family. I will be in Hawaii from the 17 to the 25 and was hoping to get some jumps in. I know there are two DZ's there and have heard great things about both. So I was wondering if some of the local could kind of take me in and show me a fun time. I just had the coolest day of work. I work in the truama center at University Medical Center. And we are the only truama center south of pheonix. So usualy we are hands agianst the walls B.O.H.I.C.A. ( bend over here it comes agian). But today was the slowest day i have ever seen in the ER. I was even abile to go online and put in my app for the masters prorgam at ASU. Just couldn't hold it in. I just had my first baby 3 weeks ago, and nothing really has change with insurance. I have great life insurance and excellent medical ( helps that I am a paramedic). The only thing that realy change is the style of jumping i am working for now. I am starting to look at camera work and aiming my skills toward that. That way at the very less i my cut some of the cost and maybe make a little for a college fund ( mind you it will be side work). Geez, if you like a EMT uniform, how do ya feel about a Paramedic/Firefighter. Ed, I am sure you did fine, EMT's are always needed it seems. I would really suggest going and getting you National cirt. It open many doors as far as other agencies and even other states. I hope you got it. I am looking for the video that was posted here a couple months ago or so. It is of, ( sorry cant remember names worth crap) a guy setting up, coming in and chowing. It looked real bad, but i remember someone saying that he got up right after the video cut out, was okay and even walk over and got a beer or something. I am sure some of you serious swoopers would have some idea. I was going to use it for a case presentation in front of a panel of truama Dr. Kinda give them an idea that it looks bad, but he was okay. Always good to should them the mech of injury. This thread may seem stupid, but i was just wondering. I got a cam eye for my helmet and was wondering the dufferent ways to install it. I was thinking of just using gaffers tape.
