not to sound like a preaching medic, but you should have waited for the ambulance, I know thouse guys up there arn't aleays the best you can get, so use your best judgment. If he had sarted going down in the car and something bad had happend (as in die) you acualt can be held at some fualt because the ambulance was already called. That whole law AZ has about helping people, doesnt hold up in civil court and the family (if full of assess) could fill suit. As for CPR......you are a idiot if you don''t have it. I will even go as far as teaching it for free to friendly jumpers and getting them cirt. I will offer my services to anyone who needs them at the dz or anywhere, kinda go's with being a public servent. And if your at alti., well, there is only a little more room in the back of a ambulance, so I would feel at home. I think if you wanna jump, at the very least you can take a first aid class or two......who knows you could save someones life. I am not saying what you did was wrong, after 45 min I would have driven him myself. I can't give to much input on your situation because I was not there. I am glad to hear your friend is doing well. I played a lot of semi pro as well and put a lot of $ in it. In the long run i could have bought a new rig with the works for as much as I spent. Wife says pick one or the other. I have a quick question for you. I just want to know how many people might be interested in this idea. I am a photographer on the side and always like making a little extra money at it. I was wondering how interested poeple would be if someone was on the ground taking pictures of the landing and flight with a zoom lens. Say on a boogie pictures could be taken one day and put on display the next. Would anyone be interested in purchasing an 8x10 and then it could be mails to their home address. just let me know. Hay, I have been around the dz for a little over a month now, and I thought I would say what's up. I am going today to do my jump 8 and 9 and I really love it. I am in the Tucson Arizona area, and I am always open to helpful hints. If anyone in the area wants to get together for a beer. I will buy the first round. Oh, jeez. I thing I do a little of everything. What can I say I like $. I am a firefighter/EMT, lab tech, dispatcher. I work as a EMT in a Peds Intensive Care Unit and a truama ER. I am still learning and have had nothing but good experiances. The price isn't too bad and you get more then what you pay for. They use the static line proression and I am finding it very helpfull. They work on canopy control and proper exits. They start having you help pick the jump spot (show you a couple of time first) and have a lot of help on the ground when you get there. If you are interested in learning, this is the place.
