    ???? Jumping

its just 'trespass with intent to leave' - its not really a crime at all..... Jules
  6. for the UK www.weather.co.uk is usually accurate if you give it the postcode of your DZ and the F214 chart from http://secure.metoffice.com/aviation/aviationProductList.do?action=sigwx will give you the uppers (although you may need to register) Jules
  7. I never went to mine and missed the only one I'll ever get. Even over here in the UK where the weather SUCKS at the moment there will be other days to jump.

    How much?

Slow-fall mode - when wingsuiting in normal mode the ProTrack sometimes thinks you've fininshed the flight early and reports that you pulled at 10,000 or some other obviously wrong altitude when in fact you had fooled it by achieving a really impressively low fall rate. Can be a bit of a bugger when you expect to get 100+ seconds of freefall and it tells you you did 23! Slo mode seems to cure this

    FIRST Base Jump

Isn't there a trade off between deep enough to allow the water to bring you to rest without hitting the bottom and deep enough to drown you in? Wouldn't jumping over water but shallower and nearer the edge/ rescue be better?
  10. I bought a new Bonehead at the same time as my pro-track and could hardly hear it at first. The alignment of speaker to ear was okay but the hole through the helmet was in the wrong place and needed a lot of enlarging with a file. It made a huge difference.

FF2 a) Fly in a controlled head down position. b) Control fall rate in a head down position. c) Control turns in both directions in a head down position. d) Fly relative to others in a head down position. e) Display independent body movement in a head down position, e.g. hand claps. and you must be about Cat 9 flat flying before you can start being trained to freefly Jules
  12. boobie bubble-brain trips nicely off the tongue! thanks, B B-B
  13. opening issues aside, BASE canopies are 7 cell and much larger than skydiving ones so that they fly slow and can be sunk into tight landing areas. Unless you are certain you can reach a large flat field with no nasties on the approach you might want to leave the skydiving rig at home. Pin BASE rig rather than velcro though. Jules
