  1. BWAHAHAHAHA - dude, I don't even have time to check my e-mail let alone plan something like that!!! Miss ya, babe! Can't wait to see you guys again and throw down! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  2. Noice, Ed, thanks!!! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  3. Chuckie and I just bought our tickets... We're coming into Hobby on the 13th around 5 pm... planning on hitching a ride from the airport and staying at the dz. Who's hookin' us up??? PM me if you can give us a ride or if you have a place on/near the dz that we can stay at. We'll take a loaner tent and a sleeping bag too in exchange for high quality wingsuit instruction guaranteed in a foreign language of your choice! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  4. I finally got into the Fort Bragg tunnel after trying for about 2 straight years. I had to play Army games though which meant strapping a rucksack to my already oversized training military rig - it was an awesome experience though! The air in that tunnel is awesome!
  5. Hugs, babe! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  6. From your profile: Wow, hard to do as an officer. Actually, not too hard but you have to be discrete. I enjoy being in the military as an officer because I enjoy the constant change. Plus, I'm incredibly proud. I have a high tolerance for bullshit and enjoy the comaraderie that most civilians (except those who are parts of other organizations like skydivers) get to experience. It's all I've ever known. The military, for me, is not a job - it's a lifestyle. I don't do it for the pay because I know I could make more on the outside. I don't do it for the work hours (especially the hours I'm pulling now as a commander). I truly do it because I love it and I believe in it. If you do too then that's reason enough.
  7. I don't think you're very crazy unless you're leaving some kind of family behind. Sometimes the selfless thing to do is sacrifice your own happiness for that of your family. I agree that it's much better being deployed - the wartime mission is what we try so hard to replicate in the garrison environment and it's never really quite the same. Unless you're screwing someone else by staying where you are - drive on. Plus, when you get back, you'll be hookin' up all the new gear, maybe gettin' some leave, and hittin' a few boogies! 8. Agreed!!! As big of an A$$ as Rob seemed, he never seemed to treat Amber very shitty. He was such a little shit himself but he and Amber got along so well. Definitely refreshing.
  9. You obviously didn't catch all the sneaky shit Rob and Amber did throughout the whole show to get ahead. How about the bus incident? They would have done the exact same thing. They lied, stiffed cabbies, and were rude to the local population for the most part of the game. At least this time it went to the most deserving pair! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  10. Maybe you could try adding us to the list! I'm putting my leave in next week! Bring it! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  11. Ahhh, so you're 16 Now it all makes sense... See ya in a few! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  12. Porkchop got to ride in that C-130 this past weekend in Georgia during an Air Show. Said it was pretty cool. Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  13. Nope, couldn't guarantee the slot or the time off work. It looks like the job has to take priority over the skydiving this year. Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  14. Bug Chuck to put this on his calendar... he was bitching because he'll be working during Rantoul, I told him this can be our big trip this summer! It's on my calendar - now if work will cooperate! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here

Beezy, you kill me. That's too funny.
  16. The Army life was all I'd ever known growing up so it just seemed natural go join. I knew I wanted to go to college, and I absolutely didn't want to be locked down in West Point for 4 years so I put in for a ROTC scholarship. I attended a state school in Minnesota - the army didn't have to spend a whole lot on me as I networked my way through college. I was always pretty mathematical and technical so I chose the Signal Corps and got what I asked for. I absolutely love the Army most of the time but then again I have a very high bullshit level and I'm an officer. I guess I see myself as comic relief for the troops. I try not to take myself too seriously while still demanding the best from myself and them too. It seems to work for me. I plan on trying to stay in for the full 20 (I'd be half way there had I enlisted instead of going to college). I'm sitting at seven years in May.
  17. Big hugs, girl!!! I can't believe it. I know how excited you were about this trip! Hope you have a speedy recovery!
  18. I might be willing to travel with ya... Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  19. Looks like a little Bird-Man rodeo double huck-a-buck in that 2nd pic just to the right of the 36... The formation looks GREAT!
  20. Lisa, you little hooch, you better jump MY Bird-man suit - you know, the purple one with the PMS patch. DO YOU KNOW WHAT I HAD TO GO THROUGH TO GET THAT TO YOU???!!! Much pain and 50 bucks to the guys that drove it down to Tim for me! Guys, have a GREAT time with the Bird-Man suits...
  21. I'm incredibly disappointed that I'm not going to make it... It was a tough personal decision. If ya'll don't know, I'm the newest company commander of a headquarters company in the 82D Airborne Division. Right now the 180 soldiers that work with/for me deserve my time and attention. I have a static line Army Airborne Operation on Saturday that I have troops participating in. I have to be back in at 0330 Friday morning to greet troops that will jump yet tonight in 32 degree weather. I am sorry to all the people I promised to spend time with - especially all the birdies. Alana - girl, give Justine a big hug for me. Love ya. Georgia in da house - big shout out to all the Georgia folks - Hans & Sandy - I'll get those glasses straight next week. Monroe peeps, my bridesmaids Pyke and Bobster, and everyone else I'll forget to mention to include the newlyweds - have one on me. I also spent over $100 in props. If Jake (who's on my shitlist right now) would have cared a bit more about some things than some other things, you guys would have 6 dozen Green beads with shot glass mugs, blinkies gallore, and other trinkets for the boogie along with the full line of Bird-Man suits here at the gear store. I'm still trying to work through the Bird-Man suits - will probably still involve some pain on my part but unless I'm tied to my desk I'll get those to Tim T to take down tomorrow night. Chris S - DUDE, I always need a hug from you. Have fun for me this year - don't work so much!!! Happy St. Patty's Day!!! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  22. Arthur, a lot of people enjoy the people aspect of the sport. I know before I started jumping I was definitely lacking because most of my military friends were married and boring... Maybe you needed that and not really the skydiving. From what I remember, you have just as much fun taking pictures and hanging out as you did skydiving. I don't think you'll ever give up the friends you made so far so if the skydiving really isn't your thing, then sell the rig and buy a new camera! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  23. HH - I tried to post an event but it kicked me back to this screen... Is it just me? Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
  24. Sorry, I didn't click on the link - didn't look computer friendly (right click or bad things happen). I've gotten a few viruses lately so I'm pretty clicky shy! Bad call on my part... Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
