    MP3

Make sure the MP3 files you're trying to play, are not DRM compliant. If your MP3's files do not play properly on your MP3 player, either, they're DRM compliant, or else, they are corrupted. As far as I know, all of Napster, SONY, or other MP3 providers, like Apple's Itunes, are selling DRM compliant MP3 files, which means they can only be played on the computer they were downloaded to. For those who do not know, DRM stands for "Digital Rights Management" which a way to prevent MP3 files to be duplicated "ad infinitum". DRM sucks... Windows Media sucks.... Yves.
  2. Don't worry, an english version of the website is in the making. I dunno when it'll be done, though. This web site is dedicated to the jumpers who like to jump in the snow. Our membership is growing steadily. To become a member, you must have done a jump or more, where the ground temperature is -15c OR BELOW. For us canadians, this is an easy thing to do, however, for an australian guy like yourself, this may be a little difficult.... By the way, if you ever see my cousin Carolyne Clark, tell her I said HI! She's also from the land down under. Yves.
  3. I hear ya. I remember when I was in Lake Wales, two years ago (december/january 2002). We had 3 or 4 nights in a row where I had to scratch the frost off my car's window... We also had two floods (one on december 24th, and one on december 31st). On december 31st, we were asked to move our tents inside the main hangar... We're glad we did.. Torrential rain and strong winds would have wrecked our tents for sure... The next day, the Lake Wales DZ looked like....well....LAKE Wales. The CASA looked like it actually had landed on a lake....... A friend of mine (François Leblanc, the DZO of the CEPQ) grabbed his fishing rod and i took a picture of him, fishing in front of the CASA. It was funny. Yves.
  4. I have rarely seen such a cold temperature for december. It looks more like february to us in Quebec city. Yves.
  5. Don't worry..... The temperature is supposed to rise to +4c by thursday.... Yves.
  6. Stop complaining guys! It's -24.5c right now in Quebec city. -37c with the wind chill factor. grrrrrrrrrrr Though, it's a perfect weather to introduce jumpers to the joys of winter jumping! http://oopv.free.fr/ Yves.
  7. Hello Joe; I guess I need some prayers too... My older brother (48 years old) was diagnosed with multiple Myeloma, on october 30th. He started chemotherapy on november 25th. Right now he has cancerous spots in 6 of his vertebraes, and has cancerous spots on his sternum and costal bones as well. He's supposed to start his second chemotherapy treatment on december 20th. He lost his hair after the first chemo treatment... Right now, he has to swallow about 40 pills a day to control the pain and also to control the various side effects of the medication he has to take.....(morphine, cortisone, etc.) My brother used to be a healthy 5' 10" and 215lbs guy.....Now he's a 5' 6'', 170lbs guy, that walks like a 90 year old man...... It all started with a mild back pain.... Yes, Myeloma destroys the bone tissue very rapidly. Yves.
  8. Democracy, dialogue, fairness and justice, would be the best anti-missile shield that could be deployed IMHO. It would be much cheaper too, but that would not please the defense industry, that's in control of the U.S government.... Yves.
  9. yo Nick you forgot the X6 - alot like the S6, just not geared toward skiing. I have an X6, it logs freefall data, the smallest intervals it will log are 2 seconds, so it's OK for my wingsuit flights as a secondary data logger, as it does not time out at 199sec like my ProTrack does. I don't generally use it as a primary alti, the refresh and sample rate on most Suuntos are to slow for my liking for that. It supposed to be 3ft accurate on altitude, which comes in handy for me. don't bother getting any of the -HRM models, the heart rate monitors on these things are really primitive and WILL pick up all kinds of radio waves and think they're from the HRM transmitter. And since your in my area, check EuropeBound as well as the MEC, each have better prices than teh other on varied models. my 2 cents cya sam the Protrack actually stops recording a jump after 119 seconds. Yves.
  10. Ok so that sounds interesting.. Does YPELCHAT have red hair too?? Nope! Then again, I have very few hair left! Yves.
  11. I'm proud to say that 3 of the 5 base jumpers you see jump off that cliff in Norway, in the movie Adrenaline Rush, are regulars at my DZ (The 2 Atmosphair DZO's, Mario Richard and Martin Dumas + 1 other: Bertrand Cloutier). The producer of the movie: Carl Samson is also a regular jumper at Atmosphair. I only wish you could have seen the movie in it's original IMAX format. Truly unbelievable. I dunno where you come from, but I know that Adrenaline Rush is still featured at many IMAX theater in the U.S and other countries as well. If you can, don't miss the opportunity to view the movie in it's original IMAX format. http://www.shemovie.com/she.asp?no=15947 Yves.
