  1. Definitely! You'd think it doesn't make such a big difference until on a jump you start to wonder why doesn't your audible work.. Happened to me with a Pro-Track...
  2. I have a Sabre170 DOM 91... Well over 1000 jumps jumped.. I've jumped it for about 60 jumps. In the beginning as I packed it myself I was wondering why are people talking about hard openings with Sabre... Back then I called my packjobs Trash-Pro-pack Then as a friend of mine packed it properly... I started getting the feeling of hard openings... Throw the hackey SLAM you're under canopy... Now as I've learned to pack it well (no ZP problems cuz it's "not-so-crispy" anymore) myself, it tends to open fast. Everytime I see it going into d-bag well aligned with nice S-folds I tell myself "yeaah, fast opening..." So I try not to pack it so well... Sounds crazy, maybe stupid to some of you, but it works.. It might open for quite a long time, a little off-headed... but it always opens if you (I) take care of the basic things.. (knocking my head) So.. leave a little air in so it bursts a bit out of the d-bag.. then just push/shove/whatever it in there and stow the lines...
  3. So maybe he just wanted to know your jump numbers.. and thought that it's nice that you already have so many jumps. (He probably remembers how it was with "not so many jumps") Why do you think negatively about this? He wanted to get to know you, but maybe didn't have anything else to say. Maybe after couple of days he'll come back to you and say "Hey dude, high five! Whats up?" And then you jump, bbq, drink, do wonderful things to each other... ohh that was another story..
  4. So where did you find your hackey from on the third try? Glad you're ok
  5. QuoteIsn't FT50 a french altimeter, and isn't it metric (or do they come in varieties)? Hmmm... I always thought the air is just the same in metric and feet -countries When you need to dump, do it!
  6. Hoi! Hoe gaat? That's great, looks like he'll get his license soon.. I wish my parents would've been DZOs... (ermmm.. do I?) I really wish I would've started jumping when 15 years old.. Keep rocking!
  7. I didn't even bother to read this thread.. just wanted to say that the Finnish Idol, Hanna Pakarinen was on the same load this weeks monday, jumping a tandem... she was soooo terrified Nice girl though, signed my logbook... the next jump was signed by Brian Germain Take care, greetings from Finland jan
  8. you could be hit that's right... No wonder though looking at your countrys way of handling things... Sorry.. just woke up and needed to tell you what I think of your leader(s)..
  9. coffee, no problem... except for other jumpers in twotter
  10. I don't want to sound like an ass.. but why do you want something written on your handles?
  11. ride to altitude... only green is missing so I get the traffic lights to my snotpaper... But after freefall.. couple of easy blows with nose closed, theyre ok. Ears I mean... in the beginning of season it was a lot worse... pain pain pain
  12. cool! Nice stream... live from space That's something! So how soon they're going to walk the walk... ?
  13. Ahmmm.... so howcome could the city of Baghdad (for exemple) be bombed so that they lost electricity if it wasn't there in the first place?! Entire national economy since 1996... and this information is based on what? These are just same kind of facts as those that I claimed in my earlier post... and what Blair and Bush said. No proof, no references, no evidence... (or maybe there was but it was made up in their own heads) So how do you know then?!?! btw.. it's good you added the word conventional... I guess even the americans now admit there wasn't/isn't any WMD or such... Ok, so that's how you know... You've been there since the Gulf War? Or before 1996 at least to know these facts about the plants... This rebuilding thing is one of my other favourites... not saying to you as a person but to americans as a nation: You damn sure are the ones that should be rebuilding it... At least paying for it.. (btw, how's your economy these days...). I don't understand that BS from your wise leaders that say it's ok for some countries to help rebuild the land and for some countries (like the ones which opposed the war) it's not... In my opinion all the humanitary/technical help from abroad is needed. What's the deal with US companies "running" the ports, the OIL-ports... Didn't Mr Bush have some connections to some US oilcompanies.. ahh.. I'm wandering.. just some flow outta my head 15 minutes after waking up... F*cked up minds, f*cked up world.... Time to change? ps.. about the next president thing... ?
  14. ahhh.. you got me confused now.. So why did you in the first place cut&paste the dictionary stuff.... ? Well, you always learn more... But now this kinda got off-topic... whaddya do? guess I should go to sleep already... my sleep-wake -pattern is fu*ked up...
  15. yeah I definitely need to add the disclaimer about my english language skills at the end of all my posts... I got government and regime mixed up in my head... If this is what you meant... I (think I) thought that regime was an adminstration of any kind... But anyway... if you replace the word regime with something more appropriate.. why is it "Saddam's" in Iraq and "Bush's" in States... ?!?! edited to add the disclaimer: my english isn't at it's best at 8 o'clock in the morning...
  16. hey.. I don't think of this as a really funny thread.. Why did you add that smiley in my quote?! Ok.. you answered to one of my questions with humor.. What about the rest... the next president? I haven't really followed the beginning of the elections-show from news or anything... Is it going to be between Bush jr and Kerry? Has someone already taken care of the machines that read the voting-slips?
  17. hmm.. One year ago we had this short conversation... wasn't a troll though.. So where have we come in one year? The people of Iraq free now? I see/think/hope they are doing better now than under Husseins regime.. (btw.. why is it that americans (mostly, also other nations) always refer to it as "Saddams regime" or "Saddams "?... When talking about US president or Finlands president it's never Georges or Tarjas... see what I mean?!) Theres still lots of resistance and hate against the liberators... hmmm.. Why is that? Are you going to vote for Bush again? Will the next president of US be even more nuttier?! Is it even possible.. well.. they say that Kerry got lots of medals in Nam.... heh... fingers crossed, let´s hope our kids get to see this planet also... ok.. maybe trolling a bit, but if I got even someone to think about these things, then I'm happy
  18. I think there'll still be snow outside our DZ sauna when the season starts in a few weeks...
  19. I definitely have to taste the "Phish Food" flavor next I come over to States... I just spent half an hour browsing through B&J´s website
