  1. With all due respect, if I bought 50 copies, I could give one to myself in honor of my own divorce! "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  2. They should set up a webcam so those of us who won't be there could see it. Bruce, I'm thinking I may want to give your book a read. I was going to wait until it was published and buy it - which I will still do -but that is longer than I wish to wait. I'll shoot you an email in the next day or two if that's ok. Thanks "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  3. Did anyone else catch this? Was only about a 20 minute segment. They interviewed Jerry Thomas and Galen Cook. No new information and no suspects were discussed. Hard to squeeze DB Cooper into 20 minutes! "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  4. Here is a clip of Jerry Thomas. This program airs tonight on Travel Channel. http://www.travelchannel.com/video/looking-for-db-cooper "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. 5. I know you are new to the forum, and I for one appreciate the logic that you are trying to use. But, you must understand that this carries little to no weight with many here. "Witnesses be damned! Just look at how much the scetch resembles my suspect". "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  6. JO Replies: Tour Guide - was she ON the PLANE? Where did SHE get HER information from? I have ever heard of that description. ALL any of us have to rely on is the witness testimonies? Did you read that description in the FBI files? I doubt the 18 yr old who was Mitchell would have made that kind of observation - perhaps an older business man might have. Regardless - perhaps you need to find a reference in the files and news articles that state such. Perhaps the young lady was trying to impress you or the others. A guide should NOT be able to express an opinion or erroneous information - only facts regarding the case. If she has not been schooled regarding this perhaps she needs to be reported. Remember this is the internet and if you are lieing about what the young lady said - you could cost her the job. To make such a comment if untrue about a suspect is uncalled for. I don't think he is lying Jo. Though, he uses different words, this goes along with what Gray has said. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xrVhmSouCeo "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. 7. Will do. Will ask for some strength for you as well. I know it's tough, I'm watching my mother slip away a little every day. It sucks. Hang in there. 8. If I had a suspect that I was pushing, Brad Meltzer is one of the last people I would want agreeing with me. These conspiracy theorists are all the same, and they are always wrong. 10. Also, if he was aware that Kenny did it, and was with Kenny at the time, why would he admit on TV that Kenny could be the hijacker? He would be incriminating himself. Now, I know the answer to this will be that he didn't know that witnesses had put him and Kenny together on that weekend. My answer to that is this: He probably don't care about the DB Cooper case. As a result, he probably has absolutely no recollection of where he was or who he was with over 40 years ago on that weekend. If he did, when asked about Kenny being the hijacker, he would have said "no way, I was with Kenny on that weekend". He says Kenny could be the hijacker, not realizing he an eye witness that KC was not Dan Cooper. Just my 2 cents. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  11. Mr. Shutter, I just sent you a PM. Just a question I had about something that I found odd. Probably nothing. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  12. Jo, I really wish the best for you. I don't always know what I wish, because honestly, any rational person would hope that you would find out that your ex husband was NOT an extortionist who threatened the lives of many innocent people. But, you seem bound and determined to prove that he was just that. Why someone would want their ex spouse to be this person is beyond me. But, the suggestion that Duane actually glued his friggin' ears down is absolutely ludicrous. Much more ludicrous than anything Blevins, Marla, Cook, or Paul has suggested. It actually sounds like something Knoss would say. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  13. I must disagree Robert. Although My mother has not been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She has MS and her memory is gone. She rarely recognizes me, she don't know who my dada is. Thinks he is some strange man in her house. She constantly asks for her parents, who have been gone for over 30 years. It is getting worse. In another year, she will probably be completely gone mentally. I have not once questioned the existence of God. I've asked why, but never doubted. That's all I will say on that, I know it's off topic. I still think Paul is wrong on KC. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  14. Yes, they are all wrong. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  15. That reminds me. Paul Geivett is suppose to be at the WSHS opening today revealing all his KC information to interested reporters. I wonder how the WSHS opening went. Some of what KC wrote in those documents you attached looks like clues Geivett has been giving out. It will be interesting to see if any reporters run with his story. I would love to be there, it's just too long of a trip from Rocky Top. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  16. Then why do you not accept Ckret's statement t that the bundles were not all equal? "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  17. Sorry Jo. It was an attempt at humor, nothing more. I wish you the best and wish you would find peace in your quest. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  18. Did Jo Weber really just use the word "dissed"? Sorry Jo, it caught me off guard. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  19. Post number 844, April 1, 2008 from Ckret... "It is my understanding the money was wraped in rubber bands, no paper bands. the money was put together in different bill counts so it looked as if it was put together in a hurry." That is not the most definitive statement and it doesn't seem logical to me. Cooper has a bomb on the plane and the bank employees purposely radomized the bundles thus making it hard for Cooper to quickly sample check the money count in a few bundles. The path of least resistance is to bundle them evenly so Cooper won't potentially get upset. I think we will just have to agree to disagree on this one, and that's okay. Could the elements remove ten bills and leave the rest of the bundle intact? I get the feeling - and I could be wrong - that you lean toward a plant. Who planted it and why? "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  20. Thats the simplest explanation, but how did the bundles get to Tena Bar? I cant reconcile that location with what I believe was the 727's flight path. That money find drives me crazy. I just can't see it getting from the plane to that beach with no human intervention. TK did a pretty careful review of the flight plan data and so did Sluggo. The placard find seems to correlate with their conclusions about the fight path, but it's just one point and the placard has never been conclusively tied to that particular airplane... although its highly likely that it came from she NORJACK plane. Everything was just fine until Brian messed things up with that money find. 377 I don't disagree with any of that. How far and how hard of a hike is it from where Cooper is believed to have landed to Tena Bar? If Cooper made it close to there before falling victim to the elements or injuries from his jump, the money find is easier explained. No need for a plant, no need for a wash down theory. I'm not familiar with the area, so maybe this isn't feasible. But I don't buy the WW theory and I don't buy that the money was a plant. Not many options left. 21. Show me an honest cable company anywhere. I dare you. My real sustainable speed is about 60% of what they claim I am getting. It briefly flashes up to the advertised speed for about one second, which I am sure their lawyers advised them to do. I need Snowmman to hack their server and up my speed. Saw a photo of the Dash 80, Boeings prototype for the 707 jetliner. The test pilots are wearing chutes. One is clearly visible and has the unique chest strap configuration that identifies it as an NB 6 or NB 8. Boeing knew what rig was needed for a jet jump. Cooper did too. 377 I won't name the company, but I'm a sales rep for a Major cable company. Honest? I'll say this, I'm the most honest cable salesman you'll ever meet. My honesty has actually lost me sales before, and quite often. But that's okay. I can sleep at night. I actually do get the advertised 50 Mbps speed that I pay for. I just have trouble with this site sometimes. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. 22. Here is what Grey wrote: "To prepare for a robbery, Seattle First National has set aside a cache of bills and each serial number of each bill has been recorded on microfiche. They count out a hundred stacks of twenty-dollar bills, each stack worth $2,000. The load must weigh twenty pounds, maybe more." "Inside the airport, the bank officials from Seattle First National bank lug the ransom into the Northwest flight operations office. The bank officials cut open a seal of the leather satchel and hand FBI boss J. Earl Milnes the Canvas bag inside, Its dimension are roughly a foot by a foot, and eight or nine inches tall. Milnes looks at the money. He does not count it. He hands the bag to Al Lee, Northwest's director of flying." "Al Lee scurries out of the detective's car and around the trunk. He opens it. He grabs the canvas sack of money and waits for Tina in the rain" 1) The above suggest the stacks were bundled with rubberbands equally by bank personnel who know how to count stacks of money. Even when rushed. 2) The serial numbers were already on microfiche (recorded by the bank). The FBI serial number list looks like it was reproduced from microfiche 3) The FBI Boss did a quick look-see at money, that was the extent of the FBI dealings with the money. Two of the three bundles found by Ingram had 2000 dollars with one bundle missing 10 bills that were either lost to the enviroment or removed by someone. That is to the path of least resistance. I must respectfully disagree. If Carr said the bundles were not equal, I will take his word for it. Besides, to me, the path of least resistance is that Cooper bailed with the cash, and the bundles were untouched by human hands until Ingram found them. 23. It's interesting, out of the 3 Bundles found by Ingram, 200 dollars was missing (ten 20 dollar bills) AND all of the 20's were missing from one bundle. Would you mind to disclose the serial number on your 20?[/quote Didn't Gray say in his book that the bundles were not all exact and that some had more than others to give the appearance that it was quickly put together? I read that somewhere, I think it was Grays book. Not sure about Gray but Ckret said that. And no bundle had consecutive serial numbers as Geivette (sp?) says. It was a rushed job ... Ckret said. I went back a few weeks ago and read some of the original forum that got locked. I guess that's where I read it. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. 25. Here is an article on Tom Kaye that came out yesterday. http://www.thenewstribune.com/2013/08/19/2738107/hunting-db-cooper.html Is anyone else having trouble getting on the forum at times? There have been several instances lately in which I can't get it to load up. But, I can go to any other site just fine. Just curious if everyone else was experiencing the same thing.
