  1. Interesting point that I've often wondered about. Also, what if Cooper did die in those woods, but not before making it to an area that makes the money find more plausible? I don't buy that the money was a plant. I also don't buy that the money made it to Tina Bar on it's own from where Cooper supposedly landed. But, perhaps he made it to a location that makes the money find more plausible before dying from injuries from the jump, or the elements, or a bigfoot attack, whatever. Blevins, I believe that some of the KC evidence is weak, at best. But based on what is known about the space in the attic, I do believe it was a hiding place. I just see no other reason for the counter top to be there. It is intriguing. But, not enough to make me believe that Kenny was Cooper.Quote Ok.Now that we have firmly established by snakeoil Sham Wow science that the HIDING PLACE "is" a HIDING PLACE! What did it hide? Had to be Cooper money, since RobertMBlevins has written a book and sayz so! Yepper! Where's the hairy woman with five tits, the turtle with three heads, a genuwine shruken head from the Amazon, and the five legged horse? Not to mention King Kenny's gold!??? There has to be more. I sense the preacher Blevins is holding out on us! That aint nice! Keep passing out the Grape Kool Aide. Who Knows? Didn't Kenny have a bunch of live in "guests"? Perhaps one of them made it and Kenny knew nothing about it. Perhaps he had a use for that "left over piece of countertop", but never could figure out what happened to the damn thing. 2. Cool, thanks. I've seen it before but may give a watch tonight...right after Dexter. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  3. If you like to hear a Northwest Orient song... go to the NWA History Centre website below.......great website introduction.... http://www.nwahistory.org/ I watched that same clip a week or so ago. Tried to find the whole thing online, but no luck. Only full Cooper documentary I can find is the one on McCoy. (Interesting thought: If McCoy had gotten away with his hijacking and never been found out, would DB Cooper have gotten credit for that one as well?) I can't even find the Cooper episode of Decoded online anymore, at least not for free. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider

  5. Paul, are you suggesting that the DNA on the envelopes has now been tested? "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  6. No disrespect intended Paul, and I'm glad you have the balls to show up here. But this sounds like another case of someone changing facts to fit their suspect. The ticket agent filling out the ticket has always been a well established fact of this case. Forgive me if I'm just a bit skeptical of changing well known facts over 40 years after the fact. 7. Quote I did. So just read the pdf. I did. Once the audio quit, I was too interested in the interview and had to do it the old fashioned way. Geoff Gray interview played fine as did a couple others I listened to. Very good site, I spent a few hours on it. Blevins, I must respectfully disagree with you on the tie. Cooper targeted an airline and left behind a tie with titanium in it. That is too strong of a link to be ignored. As Kaye points out, this titanium was very rare. The odds of someone picking up a tie at Goodwill with titanium particles in it, and then targeting an airline with a hijacking is, in my opinion, very very low. If he borrowed it, it's still a valid link to the case. Find where this titanium came from, and this case is infinitely closer to being solved. 8. Did you also have trouble with the audio version of the Kaye interview? "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  9. Here is the Kaye interview: http://collections.washingtonhistory.org/details.aspx?id=121233 "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  10. Found this while searching YouTube. Never knew someone had done a wax likeness of Mr. Cooper. Here is the video link, and the picture. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6bC6dZq9c_8&feature=related "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. 11. I watched it also, as well as the show on the Unabomber that was on before it. I've seen it before, but can never pass up another viewing. I even DVR'd both of them to watch again later. Watching both shows, the thing that stood out to me was how little, at least to me, that Kaczynski looked like the police sketch. Wonder how little our guy looks like any of the sketches? 12. Good points. The description by Tina and Flo have to be weighted more than the passengers because they had to know that if they survived this, they would have to describe this guy to the authorities. The passengers didn't have a clue what was going on. No way that one of them gave a more accurate description. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  13. Well, if they had an Instamatic, they could have just took a picture of Uncle LD himself. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  14. Blevins, you've spent enough time looking at KC, any chance he knew McCoy? Personally, I don't buy any of this. I don't buy that the money was a plant. I don't by that McCoy knew KC. First, Marla claims CIA involvement, now McCoy knew the hijacker. Sounds like another case of someone borrowing from Knoss, of all people. 15. Did you have to make a bet with Pete to get his signature? 377 Nope. Here is the pic of him signing it. I have this picture on my facebook page and the caption reads: "Me getting to meet one of Baseballs greats and one of my favorite players of all time, Pete Rose. It looks like he's signing an autograph, but he's actually helping me with my parlay picks." Back to the Cooper 20, I know Ingram has sold several of them. Any guess as to how many he has left? "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  16. I would love to have one. I would proudly display it right next to my autographed pic of Pete Rose. Someday maybe. Blevins, you're not the only one to get the cover wrong. Skyjack had Cooper still wearing a tie. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. 17. Last I heard about Dan he was being charged with something like assault by DC 3 allegedly trying to run over an overzealous cop with his Douglas. I later heard he beat the case. He still owes us his promised revelation of DBCs ID. 377 I've always suspected that McCoy was his suspect. Maybe one day he will tell us. 18. I received a PM from Vicki shortly after I made that post. She included a link to her original post. I went back and read some, and it got me to thinking that I probably need to go back and read the forum from the start. I was never here when guys like Snowman and Sluggo were posting and I'm sure there is some good stuff back there. Cooper or not, I hope Vicki finds out what happened to her dad. Anytime I read an article on Cooper, it always seems to mention that the hijacker was never seen again after the jump. I think there is probably more truth to that than some here want to believe. I find it odd that this guy on YouTube who claims to have solved the case is eager to search out Cooper on YouTube and comment, but has yet to make an appearance here. I'm not an expert in the field, but I'm always a little skeptical of handwriting comparisons. Saw a video where a relative of HH Holmes has a handwriting match that proves that Holmes authored one of the Jack The Ripper letters. Seems there have been others matched to those letters as well. I'm sure it can be done with accuracy. I just don't think it's always done with accuracy. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  19. I'm sure this has been covered, but has Vicki's dad ever been looked at by authorities as a possible Cooper suspect? And how well did he fit with the description? Also, anyone know what Dan Gryder is up to these days? He posted a YouTube video in Nov 2011 saying that he was going to tell us who cooper was in 2012. Nothing since, but a few comments. I enjoyed Dans posts here at DZ, and was curious to hear his conclusions on the case. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  20. Robert, I don't know if you've seen this or not, but I think it's the same people that sent you the stuff on your Facebook. Looks like the case is finally solved...again, lol. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ggIN_LkWV8c "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. 21. Jo, I know you don't want to hear this, but I'm going to say it anyway: if you are wanting to go public, a Facebook page would be a great way to do that. Not so much a Jo Weber Facebook page, but rather a "Duane Weber Was DB Cooper" Facebook page. You could control the content on the page, post pictures and tell your story. You could prevent people from posting that you don't want to post. Plus, it's free. You should consider it. Good Luck. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. 22. Blevins, I just sent you a PM. Please disregard if you were aware of this. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  23. About Christiansen: 1. Why would he ask for "negotiable American currency"? 2. The Money At Tena Bar: If KC was Cooper, he obviously got away with and used the money. So losing the money and it washing up at Tena Bar isn't plausible. He was already spending the money fairly soon after the crime, so probably didn't still have 3 bundles to go and "plant" years later at Tena Bar. He may have still had money in accounts, investments or whatever. But still holding on to the original loot? I doubt it. The Tena Bar money, in my opinion, is a huge obsticle to anyone promoting Christiansen as Cooper. I too, am curious about the dummy chute. Probably not very important to the case, but one does wonder about its fate. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  24. Wow. That's an amazing likeness. I'd bet money though, that if we ever find out who Cooper was, none of those drawings are going be even close to accurate. Moot point though. I'd be shocked if this is ever solved. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. 25. What part of KY are you guys in? I'm in Vol country a little less than an hour from the border. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
