Mathyaz 0 #1 December 9, 2006 Have edited together some video from this summer of canopyflying in the mountains of Norway. Some of the video is from the extremesportsweek. This is no expedition, takes 15 min from the DZ :-) So visit this link and look at some mountain flying in Norway.

sysop 0 #3 December 9, 2006 Do you research weather and wind situation for cliff launch (GL) from BASE exit's or near?www.speedflying.ru Mountian Fly School
Mathyaz 0 #4 December 9, 2006 Never tried that. A lot easier to take a cessna or the regular jump plane to 8000 feet in 10-15 min than walking all the way to the top of the mountain your self... no roads man :-)
MrBrant 0 #5 December 9, 2006 very cool - I wish I had a mountain range within flying distance of the DZ Was that a Skyhook cutaway at the beginning there? (It looked like the video guy almost ate the main) good work!
Hille80 0 #6 December 9, 2006 Wooooow!!! What a great vid!!! Is there any possibility to get that stuff in better (dvd-) quality? Really awesome! Thanks!

Mathyaz 0 #8 December 10, 2006 Thanks for the comments! :-) The DZ where this is from is skydive voss. The two australian tandem masters who has been there the last two years, who are two really nice guys by the way(grazy aussies), are also very experienced in mountain flying. Lots of nice mountain swoops has been done this summer! It's getting very popular, and the first accident came this years... no big injuries, only a broken hand. After that accident mountain flying in Norway is more regulated and restricted. The cut-away is a skyhook cut-away. Super fast and perfect reserve opening. Also fun. No plans on a dvd :-) Maybe next fall... Edited to add: the tandem masters had nothing to do with that incident!
BMFin 0 #9 December 10, 2006 Very nice !! I belive I was on the same load with you guys in DeLand last xmas... Do you have some sort of dive loops in the rears also or did I see wrong ?
Mathyaz 0 #10 December 10, 2006 Thanks again. Think I remember you, you where a group of two or three Finns right? No loops on the rears.
BMFin 0 #11 December 10, 2006 Yeah.. That was us Ok.. No loops . I guess I was seeing wrong. Heres the pic I was looking at. Its not in very high resolution so its difficult to see..
Mathyaz 0 #12 December 10, 2006 Yeah, no loops. Thats Jostein Nordby flying, he flew a lot with us this summer and lots of the video is from him as well. Far as I know he has no loops on the rear risers. Not really necessary. The wingsuit basejumper is Tom Erik Heimen if any one was wondering...
