In Holland you need (off the top of my head):

3 consecutive good exits
2 consecutive good dummy pulls
1 good c&p within 12 hours
1 good 5 sec
1 good 10 sec
(can´t remember if there is a longer delay in between or not, I think so tho)
1 good open-at-set-alti jump
1 good open-at-set-alti jump from 12k

At least, that´s how I remember it. That´s not entirely how I DID it tho :$.

How I did it (I don´t have my logbook handy):
A whole bunch of SL jumps with not-so-good exits
Maybe 1 or 2 decent exits somewhere in there
Couple of not-so-good dummy pulls
What the heck, If I throw you outta the plane at 5k will you pull after 5 secs? YEAH!! :)
Never could count to 3, but you bet I counted to 5. A bit fast, I pulled after 4 secs, but I was okayed!!! :)
Went real good after that:
that 1 5 secs jump, followed by 10 secs from 5k, a ?? secs delay from 7k, then alti jumps from 9k and (YEAH!) 12k! All in one go! Whee!

Exited unstable my first jump from 12k but fixed that in a couple secs, was okayed.

Did my required c&p a couple jumps later, floaters exit. Which went a-okay. Took a looong while before I could do a good students exit (sitting in the door).

I had

2 static lines
5 PRCP's
1 5 second delay
1 10 second
1 15 second (failed backflip exit)
1 20 second (successful backflip)
and 14 more jumps until that magic day when things got just a little cheaper.

I was cleared to self JM after 19 jumps....

Similar progressions, had to throw in a couple extra 30 sec delays because I was unwilling to give up the radio. I liked Jason to tell me how to fly!!!!

On my last jump with a radio I asked him to talk to me, so while I was under canopy he started telling me the story of Goldilocks. He thinks he's funny!

I don't remember the progression (don't have my logbook handy) but almost eleven years ago I made my first S/L jump. I only made seven jumps at that time but jump #7 was a 10s delay. Jump #8 was last spring when I began AFF.

I think the RAPS/SL progression system is very similar throught out the world.
Here's what I did (and what the minimum was)

SL - 9 (2)
DRCP - 28 (3)yes - 28 Dp's!!!!!
3s - 1 (1)
5s - 1 (1)
10s - 2 (2)
15s - 2 (2)
20s - 1 (1)
30s+ - done 3 of 6 so far - (6 or 7)

Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.

Sheez, making me pull out the logbook when I can't go to the DZ, this hurts....

;)

2 S/L (1998)
3 S/L PRCP's
1 5 sec delay
2 10 sec delays
2 15 sec delays
1 S/L PRCP (currency) (1999)
1 5 sec delay (currency)
1 S/L PRCP (currency) (2001)
1 5 sec delay (currency)
1 15 sec delay
Full atitude from here on out.

When I retrain in 2001, my instructor went out with me on my 15 sec delay. He said Ihe could see no reason to hold me back. He had me show him an unstable exit to be sure I could get stable and in control quickly and signed me off student status.(I think going into a sit to catch his lead weighted ass may have helped).

9 S/L from 800m
and than
3sec from 1000m (as we call blue-green-blue-green-blue-green-PULL, good old first freefalls, when I saw the sleve between my legs going up)
and than another S/L next year as a first jump of the next year

It seems that every DZ has a different SL progression method. (maybe just a bad observation) but here is what we do at KState Parachute Club

2 Static Lines
3 Successfull PRCP's
1 Hop n' Pop
2 ten second delays
2 fifteen second delays
2 thirty second delays
3 forty-five second delays

I had to take a fourth 45-second delay to work on my fall rate. Other than that, i made it out on time.

I did:

3 x s/l rounds before converting to squares, then...
9 x s/l
7 x DPs
3 x 5secs
4 x 10 secs
2 x 15 secs
2 x 20 secs
1 x turns (all max altitude from here on)
1 x unstable exit and backloops
2 x dive exit and tracking
2 x track turns
Then a qualifying jump

So all in all 35-ish jumps to get qualified. I struggled with static line jumps (lots of scary bad exits) but was absolutely fine once I got onto freefall.

Good luck - you'll get there before you know it!

I did 2 tandem's, the second tandem was a ripcord pull. I then did 2 s/l the second was a prcp, and my first 5 sec. delay the same day. I then did 6 delays
from higher altitudes until I completed all unstable moves. Then did a graduation jump, kept jumping until I had 20 and took the A test.
All in all I think it took about 6 weeks to complete.
I was lucky enough to be best friends with one of the instructors from high school, and drinking buddies with the other.

I would go over to the dz on sat night drink beer and listen to these guys tell stories of the jumps and students from that day, So when I finally got the balls to jump, I already kinda had an idea of what I was supposed to do. Even before I jumped I was able to watch students being trained, I already knew arch, look, reach, pull!
