The first sign that everything is going to be alright

I'm a strong believer in proper background checks and training.
It's a very important part of owning weapons.

I am glad you got the opportunity to express your opinion.

It's actually not 'just' an opinion, I actually have put some work into this over the years.
I've even bought 2 safes for friends that couldn't afford them.
I believe in RESPONSIBLE gun ownership and wish more people did as well.
I'm saddened and disappointed when I see gun posts from friends on FB, at the range, table full of all sorts of weapons, and coolers of beer.

I'm also at a loss as to why death seems so meaningless to so many.

You last statement and the first paragraph have no relationship to each other. Just a pass at alarmism.

As for "responsible" gun ownership? You and I are not that far apart looking at what you post here.

To appoint.

I guess I will not try and push my beliefs down your throat.
But I do not agree with more gun laws.
Too many already.
And at the rate Obama is releasing gun using criminals from prisons with a stroke of his pen, he must not either....

Looks like Reid has served a rightful sentence to me, he didn't use a weapon in the commission of a crime, just had on in the house that was searched, isn't that typically a 10year stint? Also remember, EACH bullet is a separate charge too. Interesting his charges are Federal as well, maybe he crossed a state line with drugs?
Probation was left intact, also required drug treatment.

While I in no way support violent felons getting guns, I don't see this guy was violent from what I can find in the interwebs, but I do support the notion that once you've paid for your crimes, you should be released.
Man/min is a very wrong approach to criminal justice, and a lot of States are starting to understand that.
The downside of all this, with THAT conviction, his only option for income could very well be his previous one.

This one does look pretty bad for release, maybe it was a statement on the lengthy conviction. Is the guy black?

>What is the difference between "gun control" and "sufficient common sense gun safety laws?"

One is a subset of the other.

And what I see as the definition, as dfined by the left, is useless.

Let us stop sniping at each other (no pun intended) and celebrate the drop in firearm prices and the ubiquitous availability of ammo. I think we can all agree that is a good thing.

You must not live in California.:(:(:(
Handguns are only used to fight your way to a good rifle

Not for the NRA and the gun/ammo industry.

But great for the gun owner/citizen.

You said we can all agree. Just pointing out that clearly we cannot all agree on this subject.

Give them a few months. They'll find another way to sow fear in new customers.

They don't need to. Liberals and especially LGTB people are now arming up preparing for the up coming street battles over where to pee.
Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
