They were in the process of arresting and charging him, he had a record for similar offenses.

That doesn't mean he was involved in criminal activity at that time. That means he was suspected of doing so. The judge and jury decide if he was actually involved in criminal activity. But, in this case that will never be established, since nobody cared enough about a human being to take some basic level of care. I know this might be hard to believe for you, but cops have been wrong before.

Innocent until proven guilty I guess only applies to cops killing civilians. In your land of the free running constitutes a crime.

That is now just another fake homily overused as well as misused.... like:

Protect and serve

Thank you for your service

Fiscal responsibility

Small government

Separation of government from church pulpit

Welcome America to your post 1984 Police State......

The terrorists are winning [:/]

I would think that running from the police is a crime in every country.

No running in a high or low crime area is not illegal where I live, or I would have been arrested many times over.

We call it jogging in my predominately white neighborhood.
I think the last time I interacted with a cop here was drinking beer with the CoP.

Yes, yes, yes, I'm sure this guy was out for a jog.:S
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

Well, we're talking about the US. Refusing a lawful order of police is sometimes criminal, though not always, and and often enough to warrant suspicion. But it doesn't always rise to the level of probable cause, or even terry stop reasonable suspicion merely from looking in their direction & scooting the other way.

Why - wouldn't the budget be able to afford giving out the bonuses for the public service?

that's ok - we also have a cat. because it's cruel to keep a dog in the city

Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
