"If you're jealous of those with more money, don't just sit there and complain, do something to make more money yourself -- spend less time drinking or smoking and socialising, and more time working."

Yeah, let them eat cake too.

Rinehart made her money the old-fashioned way: She inherited it.

"... spend less time drinking or smoking and socialising...".

I notice that spending less time eating isn't mentioned.:S

it's not fair for her to have that much money, she doesn't need it anyway, the government should take some away and use it for social programs to help others have stuff
Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.

so this does not turn you on at all?
Not even a half stiffy?
Not even a little?
What is the matter with you! I'm sure she is a nice person! Why can't you look past her looks and love her for her.....
Ah fuck I can't even do this!

Fuck! If we boiled her down how many candles do you think we could make from her fat ass?
Answer?
ONE! One big candle visible from fucking space!

So she won the sperm lotto...lucky you!
Shame you looked like you fell from the ugly tree hit every single fucking branch on the way down and were promptly hit by the Ugly Express twice after which point the ugly tree having seen your ass committed suicide cut itself down and landed on you!

She has a face that looks as if it was on fire and someone tried to put it out with a fork!

But I love these trust fund babies....so out of touch with the reality on the ground. I hope she lives a long life....just to prove that god does hate the poor. So that way I can keep feeling good about being an atheist.

You should take her advice John, because you're obviously jealous of people who have more than you.

Actually I don't want to be a fat ugly hypocritical woman, with or without a lot of money.

YMMV.

Poor guy, he just can't get over the fact that he was not born into royalty.

I expect Marie A. also had a bunch of sycophants who fawned over her on account of her (inherited) wealth.

I'm trying to figure out how I can get born into a rich family.

It's not the Democrats fault. It's not the Republicans fault.
It's my Daddy's fault for not being rich.

You have a problem with the concepts she mentioned? You don't agree that hard work is more likely to do more for you than sitting around drinking and complaining about not having anything?

I see a lot of Miniver Cheevy's around.

Fine advice, but coming from someone who never had to work a day in her privileged life it just sounds like the hypocrisy that it is.

She may be hypocritical, but she has a valid point. I have friends who throw snipe comments all the time about me being "rich" compared to them. Funny part is these are the guys that had everything handed to them while kids, and were the "mommies little angel" types who could do no wrong. They were good students, and in multiple sports in school. Meanwhile I was in a shitty home, with shitty parents. I started working when I was 12, saved every dime I ever made, and like a dumb ass dropped out and moved out when I was 16. My friends had everything handed to them and they still ended up being uneducated do nothings as adults. Meanwhile I got my HSED, went to college in my mid twenties and have invested what I can. All the times I've worked 12 hour days and been stuck working weekends to afford what I have and where i've gotten, I've seen my buddies wasting what little they have partying, drinking, and smoking. They will whine to me about being broke but their fridge is always full of beer, they always have that $7 pack of cigs they're puffing on, and will think nothing of going to the bar every weekend and blowing a couple hundred bucks.

The data is either good, or bad. Removing your personal bias aimed at the person... Is her advice on target or off target?

If we take your ,"someone who never (did 'X') should not being giving advice".... Then Obama should not have ever been allowed to run for political office since he had never done it before. And someone who has never been poor should not be allowed to have an opinion on what we need to do to help the poor.

I tend to think that good ideas are good on their own merits.

I'm not arguing with you!
Trust me I know, when my family came to this country all we had was the clothes on our back. And hard work and a good education and I make good money drive a nice car eat good food but best of all i have great friends.

But you have to admit at the moment we are in there is a bit of a boot on the throat of the young middle class. With a good amount of our homes with negative equity and an amazing amount of education debt not to mention an economy where most jobs created are contractor type instead of full time thus we incur greater health care costs...

Well you get the picture. Things like that fat blob are from my point of view the weight on the collective necks of the new middle class. In their eyes we are just consumers to be squeezed for out last penny and then pushed aside to the lower classes.

Your being from the mid-west of our country, you come from an area where hard work and 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps' is the attitude. You earned what you got through perseverence and hard work and that is commendable. Those who have had everything handed to them... I have no use for. Like the woman this thread is about.

In all fairness, I bet the friends he grew up with were from the same part of the country.

My point is that he said he worked hard and suceeded while his lazy ass friends didn't. You tried to ascribe his work ethic to the fact that he grew up in the midwest. I was merely pointing out that his lazy ass friends also grew up in the midwest, so it seems unlikely that his region of upbringing had anything to do with his success.

She gets to show her personal bias and bigotry. I think she'll keep her mouth shut from now on in the reaction she's got.
