Rally for Sanity in DC

I went to the John Stewart Rally for Sanity down in Washington, which was a lot of fun. Huge numbers of people turned out, and the crowd was more entertaining than the people on stage. It was a giant parody of a protest rally, and everyone there was a part of it. Some of the signs were political, some were just for fun. I am trying to remember some of the signs I saw:

I bet if you say that enough it will be true! You can substitute attacks like that for content indefinitely; the Tea Party has had great luck with that approach. Keeps people from thinking, which has proven to be somewhat problematic for them.

I think a better start would be EDUCATION CAMPS for all those who missed the boat the first time around

I think that it really is important for us to step away from the extremes of either side and find a way to get some shit accomplished.
That's what people want and need. They also have an annoying tendency to blame quickly and shortsightedly. The republicans will gain the upper hand soon and when they fail to fix things, the people will blame them just as quickly. The cycle will continue, yet nothing will get done.

That's the way the politicians in both parties want it. Keep the people off balance and problems in place and everyone keeps getting paid. It's fucking sad truthfully.
