White House responds fast!

Recommended Posts

Yesterday a report came out stating that Iran stopped its nuclear weapon program in 2003 (who knows how accurate this is). Bush today reponds (http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/12/04/iran.nuclear/index.html), saying that Iran is still dangerous without the nuclear weapon. Bush's ship is sinking. Is anyone still taking him seriously anymore?

Indeed. Good news for everyone (other than some of the more pro-war conservatives, that is.)

>Bush today responds . . . .

I liked the quote "Iran was dangerous, Iran is dangerous and Iran will be dangerous if they have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon." Translation - don't bother me with this nerdy intelligence stuff! I had my mind made up, I have my mind made up and I will not alter course in the future no matter what direction the road goes in.

While I typically vote conservative I do happen to think that bush isn't exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. Thank God she has finally been reigned in by some people on the hill and some of the military commanders.

Bush seems to be on the fast track to becoming the Lamest Lame Duck ever. Notice how much the Republican candidates try to avoid even mentioning him.

I'm still amazed this happened. Everything I have read about that NIE several years ago that claimed Iraq had WMD's, indicated it was effectively dictated by the Dubya administration. So how did this one escape that? Is it possible someone has finally grown a pair?

Oh come on Bill! After the Iraqi WMD intelligence fiasco are you suggesting that Bush change his policy based on more questionable "intel" from these clowns. Obviously the Prez needs to push ahead and pay these guys no mind.

Must be organic balls, cause they took a while to grow. Should have used fertilizer back in 2001/2002 when we were all waiting to see these WMD's. (D's nuts!) So far the approach to Iran has been quite similar as Iraq's approach scaring the US population with these made up weapons.

Right. But people in government seem to be noticing that Bush is becoming quite the lame duck, and indeed is no longer much in charge of the GOP. They can be honest now without as much chance of being demoted or fired.

It would appear that the Presidents actions in the Mid East and his policies are working.

My gosh, I wonder what could have possibly happened in 2003 that might have encouraged the Iranians to shut down their nuclear program?

I like how you put it -- "appear" :D

Well, I can't say I "know" as many on this site "appear" to claim.

So the best plan is to invade them and use that thingy that erased minds in Men in black so they don’t remember how to make bombs.

Of course. From a Bush supporter's perspective:

Iran has no nuclear weapons - Bush's policies are working.
Iran has nuclear weapons - Bush was right about Iran.

Violence in Iraq goes up - Bush was right about "drawing in the terrorists" so we don't have to fight them here.
Violence in Iraq goes down - Bush was right about the surge.

Venezuela votes for changes to their constitution - Bush was right about Chavez.
Venezuela votes against changes to their constitution - Bush's plan is working.

It's always easy to make it seem you're winning by spinning it the right way!
