wmw999 2,175 #7 August 15, 2005 I'll help. And I'll try to keep it about Bush. The number of points doesn't reflect how many things total he's done right or wrong or their importance -- just what I thought of and wrote down in 5 minutes. Damn that's a lot of introduction. - He responded appropriately in the immediate aftermath to 9/11. I.e. talking to people, and going into Afghanistan quickly. - He's done a good job of keeping his family life largely separate from the Presidency. Darius11 12 #8 August 15, 2005 This is too funny 3 Took the war on terror to the land they occupy. Even they admitted no relation between Iraq and 9-11. So nothing but a waist of time lives and money. At best Iraq will have a government much like Iran. Not a good thing at all. 4 Strengthened the military. How? And were we in any danger of not being the best military in world. The money could have been used for better things like health care, education, and the environment. 5 Brought honor back to the oval office. More like set the IQ standard at an all time low, and has helped the world opinion of the US drop as low as his IQ 6 Does what he says he is going to do You’re right, he doesn't care about any thing or considers any ones else's view other then his and his rich friends. I don't think that’s a good thing 7 Doesn't listen to polls or whiney liberals. Doesn't listen. No matter who it is he should listen. This is a government for the people by the people. Not just the people who agree with him or support him financially.I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Were you aware that this was something that was public knowledge that the US was planning a september offensive as early as June 2001? Just so you dont think its Bush bashing, it started with Clinton. Look into the history of the Taliban securing the oil pipeline for more information. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

Everon 0 #17 August 15, 2005 The Taliban met with the Bush-oil cartel to discuss an oil pipeline that would run through Afghanistan for his oil company. These talks went on until August 2001, when they gave the Taliban an ultimatum. An agreement was never reached. An attack was discussed early in 2001 to overthrow them and replace them with a more "accepting" government - one that would secure the pipeline. Mike111 0 #18 August 15, 2005 You might hate Bush and there are strong arguments for both sides... ... and you might fully disagree with what supporters say, which is cool, - all have our own oppinions. But you might wanna give some consideration at least to the other side like others do - darius/billvon/shropshire who say why they disagree, and not just they disagree- they have proof You seem to be slightly short in your reasons... ... whats the point of a bland statement - its worthless. IF youre gonna slag him off, fair enough, but at leats do it with reason and evidence. I hope thats fair.

billvon 2,476 #21 August 15, 2005 Here are a few good things that Bush has done - Did a good job initially on the Afghanistan war Signed a diesel emissions bill into law that we sorely needed Backed off on his stand on "personal retirement accounts or nothing" on social security Has come very close to admitting he made mistakes in the past (a good thing) Pledged to send money to Africa to help AIDS victims, and has made good on part of that

AlexCrowley 0 #24 August 15, 2005 Used to, now in the US. Janes is known worldwide if you have a hankering for intelligence and unbiased military news in the mainstream. I like Janes because its a useful tool to verify the more insane places I've culled info from in the past. For instance, www.almartinraw.com has an archive of news stories. If you were to subscribe (since the bastard went subscription only, which is when i stopped reading him). Al Martin was one of the players in Iran Contra, his revenge was to start a whistleblower website. This site had evidence of a war in Afghanistan as early as February of 2001. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
