(continuing a discussion we had in the Pub awhile back...)

There's a DZ in Jean that we can jump at (if we want to ), the tunnel, roller coasters, lots of cool stuff to gawk at and of course, gambling and partying.

Who's up for it?

Sept. 14-15 or 21-22 or anytime after Nov. 1st work for me. What dates work for you?

Any favorite hotels/casinos/attractions?

hmmm travel schedule varies, but i seem to end up in Vegas several times a year...
so fix a date. (Nov would be better for me) and I'll see if i can wander over...

I'll be in Vegas the weekend after the Perris trip - September 7-10th.

I wasn't planning on jumping, but if anyone familiar is going to be out there, I might just make other arrangements.

I wanna go!!! If it's in September I probably can't go cause I'll still be taking care of the Gimp... But I could probably go in November sometime... Hell, the Gimp might even be able to go by November!
I've been wanting to try out that dz at Jean - it's been a long time since I've jumped out of a Cessna! And it's close to that roller coaster at Buffalo Bill's - I've always wanted to ride that thing too, though it looks more dangerous than skydiving! ;-)
I have a coupon for a free night at the Tropicanna, but I don't think we could all stay in one room... They do at least have mirrors on the ceilings though ;-) The Stratosphere has pretty cheap rooms, and I've had good luck on the slot machines there - and the ride at the top is pretty sweet - not to mention the really HIGH view...

Have fun. I hope you will, though a few Vegas residents I know drive to Perris and Elsinore to jump, saying Jean has turned into a tandem mill too. I wouldn't know, as I personally have not been there.

Buffalo Bills's Hotel looks like fun... though it's not actually in Vegas... But it has several cool-looking rides and reasonably priced rooms - and alcohol and gambling - what more could you ask for?

I personally like the Mirage, but that's prolly too pricey for most folks. Bally's is on the strip and might be a little more reasonably priced. Tom would probably like the Stratosphere.

One extracurricular activity that might be fun is the bungee jumping platform just outside Circus Circus. I've done it before and it's a blast. Getting a bunch of skydivers there would be fun.

I also think we need to get a big 'ol herd of us to mosey on down to Mikey Hawkes place with our rigs and tell him we all want to do some fun jumps.
