The Stupid Things People Steal!

Recommended Posts

I wake up this morning to get ready for work only to find out that 2 of the 3 new bras that I brought with me are missing from my luggage! >:(

Geez, if I was going to clean a hotel room and decided to steal anything (I wouldn't) it definitely wouldn't be a stranger’s underwear. :S

::sigh:: What is this world coming to when under garments are no longer safe alone?

my gas cap.

WTF? Why would you still a gas cap? Geez, people can be silly.

Once in college, I had someone break in on Cristmas Eve and steal my answering machine! :S. I wasn't sure why anyone would want to listen to message from my mom telling the machine to "give this message to Sharon" :D

Not sure; I would have thought it was a personal thing because this guy was stalking me at the time, but there were 4 or 5 cars that had been broken into on the same night, and this guy wasn't smart enough to make it look random like that.[:/]

One Christmas Eve I had come back from our family gift opening get together and had left the presents they had given me in the car because it was so late and I was so tired. When I went out the next morning to take them in, someone had broken into the car and taken everything. I was pissed aout the broken glass but it solved the problem of "WTF am I going to do with all these dumb presents?":|
The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

When my car was broken into, the thief took $2, a recorded cassette, and my gas cap.

Likely story! Hah!

My wife has forgotten the gas cap (and I've had to buy a new one) so many times it just isn't funny anymore.

Admit it, you might have lost it when fueling up, and decided to blame it on the break in to cover it up.

Well, that would be all fine and good...except that it was actually CONNECTED, as in when I would unscrew it, it would hang, it never came completely off.;)

Our old banger was stolen and taken for a joyride, presumably by some kids. They tried unsuccessfully to wrench a worthless 1970's radio from the dashboard, and failing that they stole the ashtray! Go figure. 2 months later, with a sheet of soft plastic in the drivers window keeping out the rain after the first theft, some other dude broke the back window to get in and take it for a joyride. I ended up with a note in the window saying "I am unlocked and I need no key, but please don't hurt me" :D

I think this guy took stupid a notch higher, but not to the ultimate level.

A few years ago the wife and I decided to go on a little road trip on the Sporty, and stopped at a hotel for the night. We check in, unload the bike, and walked across the street to have a few drinks and grab a bite. Several hours later, (like, well past 1:00 AM) We head back to our room to find some guy in shorts and a t-shirt, no shoes, no wallet, no nothing, looking totally screwed up, poking around the battery on the bike. I go into my "cool" mode and ask him, "Can I help you?"
He replies, "Oh, man, I lost the key to my bike here and I'm trying to figure out how to get it started."
I ask him - "You mean, MY BIKE????"
Dude turned white as a ghost and now Sharon is holding me back - He's still sitting on the ground next to the bike and I'm ready to kick him in the teeth with a size 9 combat boot. (Steel toe and nice, thick stiff sole-) She calmed me down and I "escorted" him out of the area - I watched him scamper off down the middle of the street, and almost immediately was "pulled over" by the local police. Last I saw he was being loaded in the car.

WTF, man?

Easy Does It

a woman i worked with had her car stolen. it was a crappy hyundai and she wasnt really bothered just the inconvenience. She got a call off the police two weeks later they had found it. When she went to pick it up the copper said someone was trying to sell it at a car auction. she looked around it'd had a full valet and a new 12 month MOT certificate in the glove box. so she got it back in better condition than it left!!!
