damion75 0 #1 June 24, 2004 Well I'm sitting here at the back of the operations room (Baghdad), where is is ten PM so I have some music on my headphones... Well a great old '80s track comes on, and I have turned it up to enjoy it and then I got a sudden wierd feeling like this is all a film and I have just turned up the soundtrack. If this is going to be the soundtrack, I need something a little more dramatic. Perhaps 'eye of the tiger' by survivor or 'The boys are back in town' which has luckily just come on.What's your tune?*************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus. AggieDave 6 #2 June 24, 2004 Hmmm...one tune for my entire life? That's a tough one. Right now I'd probably say Malaguena is a good representation. Hot, loud and fast brass licks, then smooth quieter sections, followed by some screaming trumpet and fast playing. Fits my life, lots of fast sometimes loud sections, with some mellower sections, all gelling together to make a mostly fun life. edit: I read your post too fast and some how brain farted, missing the part where you remind me that you're in the sandbox. Take care of yourself and get back to jump again!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

skydiver30960 0 #7 June 24, 2004 The TOP SONG for my life is a two-way tie: Southern Cross by CSN(&Y). Old school for a 30yo, and really kinda slow, but a BADASS song; a song about a guy who maybe hasn't made all the right decisions, maybe hasn't had the world handed to him on a silver platter, but who still finds the world to be a place filled with indescribable beauty. Crazy by Seal -- I like the message, and although it's also a little mundane by the standards of the music I listen to today I really like the tune and it hit the charts at a really good time in my life... Other runner-ups: White Lightning by Def Leppard Headstrong by Trapt Plush by STP (another 'time of life' fav) Higher by Creed (i know i know, leave me alone) White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane and... What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong Elvisio "promise of the coming day" Rodriguez OR Elvisio "in a sky full of people only some want to fly, is that not crazy?" Aggiedave - I just meant a tune for right now!! A tune for the whole of your life would be too tough a choice... Although if I did have to make that call, I think that 'The Boys are back in town' or 'Schools out for the summer' would be right up there! *************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus.
