Kris 0 #3 October 22, 2004 This was discussed in another thread. Looks more like someone who just wants to get rid of that worthless certificate....Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #4 October 22, 2004 QuoteLooks more like someone who just wants to get rid of that worthless certificate.... I wouldn't say it's worthless... you do indeed get to do a skydive with it. They just don't realize they'd probably pay the same or less and go to a closer dz if they just did a little more looking. Shame. -A
kelpdiver 2 #5 October 22, 2004 So who down in SoCal will honor the certificates? There aren't a heck of a lot of DZs there. Bigger, but fewer than the ring we have circling the Bay Area.
Greene 0 #6 October 22, 2004 You better believe they would have paid less for the initial tandem had it been purchased from a real dropzone. What a scam they are

Greene 0 #8 October 22, 2004 Yep, 1-800-skyride IS a true scam on the skyding community. We were approached when they first went in the businsess of this scam, and we told them it was a scam and turned them down from the get go. To bad some great DZ's did not shut them down with their initial phone call. Live and learn. We have been around long enough to spot a scam with the first phone call from the 'scammers" Wish all Dz's had done the same. Now they have learned. WFFC 1 #10 October 22, 2004 Actually emailed the seller. She got weathered out twice, then got in a accident and had to have back surgery. Her doc won't approve of her jumping yet so she figured she'd get rid of it. Initially tried to return to skyride but was told 'sorry, no refunds'. So she turned to eBay as the certificate was transferable.----- ~~~Michael
