BikerBabe 0 #8 November 19, 2004 Search for "BT" on iTunes. Download "Ima", "ESCM", "Movement in Still Life", and "Emotional Technology". (all albums) Errrr...if you don't like melodic trance, then maybe not, but give it a listen, anyway. one of the best alternative rock albums ever is also available, that would be "Fear" by Toad the Wet Sprocket. Here's the Amazon.com reviews for that one: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000027JR/qid=1100837698/sr=8-6/ref=pd_csp_6/002-8391705-4765628?v=glance&s=music&n=507846 Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! Dougiefresh 0 #15 November 19, 2004 Quotewhat are good blues and jazz songs/artists? john coltrane? Yes, but if you're not real into jazz, J.C. can be hard to get an ear around. I'd start with "A Love Supreme" or "My Favorite Things" (the entire albums, you can't just listen to one song with this guy). Also check out: Ella Fitzgerald (one of the most amazing stunning expressive voices ever) Louis Armstrong (likewise) Miles Davis (best trumpet player of all time) that should get you barely scratching the surface of jazz. Blues: Howlin' Wolf Muddy Waters John Lee Hooker B.B. King Robert Johnson start there. Let me know if you want more. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
mailin 0 #16 November 19, 2004 If you want some good tunes for when your really fucked up... Darude... anything by Darude. Also, Chris Brokaw plays guitar like no one else I've heard. Last month I downloaded the CD from a band called BOND - they're a rock/classical hybrid group - good stuff. JenArianna Frances

Frenchy68 0 #18 November 19, 2004 Quotewhat are good blues and jazz songs/artists? john coltrane? Coltrane is indeed "La" bomb; including the more mellowy album with Johnny Hartman. Oscar Petterson for his Piano Charles Mingus (The Clown being my favorite) Miles Davis Ben Webster ...
