I've been to the North Pole. I've also ridden, standing, on the back of a horse in the opening act of the barnum and bailey circus. I ordered a lock-pick kit off the internet and after hours of trying, finally snapped open a master lock... but only once.

I like to think of my whole day as an unusual experience. Within an 8 hour period today, I sent someone to the hospital, explained the importance of wearing pants, found that taco bell was out of gorditas, handled narcotics, stole a bench, and served ice cream to 20.

each day is different, and unusual is the usual for me.

According to my mother, I once had the bubonic plague.

We were traveling overseas when I was 7 and I caught it somehow, was hospitalized, given medicine and ended up just fine.:S

Don't remember much though...:o
Please feel free to reply to my posts and pm's, but only if you're smart enough to understand what they really mean.

i was in the 1988 guiness book of records (and '89-no pic that year tho). It gave me something to order when they passed around those scholatic order forms... remember those?

I've been a Radio DJ, restored a car older than my Dad (1919), driven a Steam Locomotive (so it was only a 3 mile trip), read everything by Heinlein, Niven, Pornell, and Pohl, stood on the torch of the Statue of Liberty, ridden in a 200 mile Bicycle race.....

lived life I guess....

A group of criminals once tried to kidnap my family and I and hold us ransom. The plot was discovered when one guy in the group got caught for something else and gave up his mates. The police then set up an intricate scheme to try and catch the guys so they lived in our house for a couple of months while we moved from hotel to hotel every week.

BASE Jumped off the New River Gorge Bridge

Did the Polar Bear Swim in Lake Michigan on New Years Day in Wisconsin, 2 years ago (they had to break the ice on the shore for us to get in)

Went Zorbing in New Zealand and bungee jumping in Australia and Myrtle Beach

Stood outside while they eye of a Cat 4 hurricane (Hugo, '89) passed over my house

Been shot at by terrorists from 3 different organisations. (not all at once, obviously):S

Seen 175mph on my Fireblade in Germany.

Watched the sunrise from the top of Mt Kenya, Africa.

Watched any sunrise, sometimes twice on a 'earlybird lift'

I've reposessed a 'few' cars - Been at the wrong end of a snub nose revolver during one, got chased a few times.
Got clocked at 147 mph - while driving an unmarked police cruiser (talked my way out of the ticket too B|)
I've handled a cobra & a caiman
Swam with trained dolphins and dolphins in the wild.
Driven an ARCA stock car on a 1 mile dirt track really fast for a few laps. Same car on a 1/4 mile paved oval really fast too...
Pondered Plato at the Acropolis
Experienced the Red Light District of Amsterdam.
Skiied in the Alps - Much steeper than the Rocky Mtns
Been locked in the Zurich Switzerland airport for the night.
Survived backpacking around Europe - twice.
Driven across country with Mary
Many others, but I'd be here all night...

I skiied for 14 years in the Alps, I thought it was pretty good, then went to the Rockies for 6 months, now THAT was amazing..... so much real estate.

Its wierd and very lucky that we all have different perspectives on the world.

Isnt the world wonderful...:)
