A local company made generic versions of various drugs, mostly blood pressure meds, and by law they had to test them. In on Friday night and out on Sunday morning for two weekends got me hundreds of dollars. Plus, I got to watch tons of movies while waiting to give the next blood sample. Got paid $20-$25 an hour to help kids with homework. Sure beat the $5 an hour student worker jobs. Most schools keep a tutor list somewhere. mr2mk1g 10 #25 February 1, 2005 Re some ideas already floated, bear in mind that selling plasma may affect your susceptibility to hypoxia (even at altitudes frequented by skydivers) for a short time after donating… This is down to each individual though so is difficult to predict. I have a friend who participated in medical studies while at uni in order to buy his rig and fund his training. He later went on to be a national champion in a 4-way team. His advice is to not do medical studies – he says it was the worst choice he ever made and strongly warns against it – the pills he took seriously fucked with him and he feels the whole experience simply wasn’t worth any amount of money… then again – you may well end up in the control group taking tic-tacs.
