SarahC07 0 #1 February 14, 2005 Basically, there is no point to this post. I can not sleep. I'm bored. I'm in pain and very sick. Anyone want to come take care of me? Or more realistically, is there anyone else awake that can entertain me.... anyone? Cause I guarantee you there is absolutely NOTHING entertaining on TV and I watched like 5 DVD's yesterday... SarahC07 0 #7 February 14, 2005 Hahaha... it's all good... I'm heading to the doc here in about 20 minutes... I'm fairly positive I have either strep throat or tonsilitis.... I'm leaning more towards strep... because I've had it before... But this may be the worst case... But I'll stop my bitching... you folks have a good day! AggieDave 6 #12 February 14, 2005 You got sick because you're dating a Corps boy. Sickness rapid fire spreads through the Corps of Cadets due to the close quarters, the general lack of sleep and high stress and all the pushups and running done together. Generall speaking we called it "Corps crude" as a general term for the sickness but a lot of times it was a real sickness such as strep or a flu that went around. If you're going to date a Corps boy take atleast 1500mg of Vitamin C and E daily.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." SarahC07 0 #14 February 14, 2005 Thanks for that Dave Yeah, I freaked out the Doc. After looking at my throat she said "Holy smokes! That ranks on the top 3 nastiest throats I've ever seen! Can you breath ok? Can you still swallow pills?"... and of course I said yes to both... She claims I have both tonsilitis and strep throat. wee..... Ah and now it's time for food, pills and SLEEP! Everybody stay healthy!
AggieDave 6 #15 February 14, 2005 Did you go to the quack shack on campus? Did they make you take a pregnancy test first thing? I swear to god, just about every girl I've ever known that has gone there due to some illness they say "you're probably pregnant, we'll test you..." and it has never been the case (these are friends that are girls as well as former girl friends I'm talking about).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #18 February 14, 2005 Cool, maybe Beutel is starting to grow up a bit. Take your happy drugs and go to sleep girl! And tell Will so if he starts to feel it he can get in there when its just starting and keep it from really making him sick.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Dougiefresh 0 #19 February 14, 2005 One time I went to the campus health center with flu symptoms that weren't clearing up. I mentioned that my submandibular glands were really swollen and had been for several weeks, which generally indicates your immune system is working hard. So the "doctor" says, "OK, where are they?" What is that, a veterinary certificate on your wall?Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

SarahC07 0 #21 February 16, 2005 Well, here is an update... I spent Tuesday evening in the ER because I was throwing up everything... I could not even drink water without getting sick. I was and am very very sick. After about 2 hours of waiting, I finally see a doc. I explain to him what I think is making me vomit (the antibiotics they gave me) and then I show him my throat. I freak him out with my nasty throat as well. We talk. He tells me to stop taking the antibiotic they gave me (thanks pal!) because 1 out of 5 people's bodies react like mine did, he gives me a prescription for a different antiobiotic and something for the upset stomach. After taking the pill for my stomach, I wait around long enough to see if it's actually gonna stay IN my stomach. It does. He then tells me he wants to see me in 2-3 days to do a check for mono on me. joy. I pay my bill and... at last, I'm free. And as we are walking back to the car, I throw up the pill. So yay! So I wake up this morning... and feel like I've been run over by a car. Please oh please, Wish me healing vibes and anti mono vibes. Lord help me if I have mono. Thanks and have a nice day!
