WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BEER

Recommended Posts

I like nice strong ales. Typically Belgian ales are my preferred beer.

For everyday drinking, I've got a 1/5 barrel keg of Firestone Double Barrel Ale in my kegerator. It's great stuff.

Anything by the Stone Brewing Company of San Diego is good, too.

New Belgium's 1554 Black Ale is good stuff.

I've never been particular to German beers. I'm just not a traditional lager-type guy, though some types of lagers I do enjoy.

Guinness

Straight from a tap at Gogarty's in the Temple Bar district of Dublin. Nothing better...for me. :)

I am definately an 'ale' guy. I like my dark beers as well, though.

Guiness
1554 (the only decent beer by New Belgium)
Pilsner Urquel
Boulevard Pale Ale
Dog BIte IPA
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Big Foot Ale
Old Peculiar

to name a few...........

Sam Adams Honey Brown from the tap...

The best Guinness I have had was in Tynagh, about an hour into the country form Shannon. There is no doubt that the beer served in country is much better than the stuff served elsewhere when it comes to Guinness.

I've often wondered about that. I've never had Guiness outside of Texas, and frankly, i'm unimpressed. [:/]

Oh, my friend...if you haven't had it from the source, you honestly don't know what Guinness is all about. Guinness outside of Eire just isn't the same...at all.

Do you like to put a lemon or slice of orange in your Blue Moon?

I've never done either...doesnt seem like the masculine thing to do...."ahem, could i please have a slice of lemon with my brew"

Alright then, I'll just have to make it to Dublin next year and make a day trip. :)
edit: that is, an entire day devoted to nothing but Guinness

Uh, you do not put fruit in your beer, people - unless you are a chick. If I wanted a fruit salad - I would ask for one.

Blue Moon is made by Coor's - it does not count. Good attempt at a belgian white, though.

I find honey brown to be a little too headdy. Maybe that's because I drank from the bottle, but it would seem strange if I brought my pint glass everywhere I went.
