Peony - I have plants that have been in my family for over 100 years. Every time I move, I dig them up and transplant them.

They are practically indestructible. They have a wonderful scent and look great cut and put in a vase. After the flowers are gone, the plant itself makes a lush green hedge across the yard.
What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy

Dendrobium (dancing lady) orchid. I love all the other orchids, too, though;)

I have 5:P

Edit: Forgot the "why" part of the question:

B/c they are just the most intricately detailed and so amazing/inspiring to look at. I also feel like a pround "mother" when they bloom so perfectly.:P
Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Tulips, but we can't grow them in FL. They just come in a pot at Publix!

Me too! Tulips are my favorite flower. I live in Tallahassee, and I've seen some gorgeous ones growing....although we live pretty far north in the state.

Hmmmm..used to love Roses..still do kinda...but I have been gwrowing them for about 12 yrs now and I'm kinda sick of them...not your average red roses but the "wild" (think Black)color roses....I love Calla Lillies...they are simply elegant....I also like Black Eyed Susans, they are pretty and "fun".:)
