SkydiveStMarys 0 #1 June 7, 2006 I met a strange creature yesterday. She didn't like the beach. She'd much rather hang at a pool. Pools are ok, I guess, especially if they have a swim up bar...but still, give me a sandy beach, warm balmy breezes, and a surf board/or good book and I am a happy camper. So which one are you? Thanatos340 1 #3 June 7, 2006 I havent worn shorts in public since 1987.. If these skinny white legs get anywhere near either Pools or Beaches.. People go scrambling away like a scene from Jaws. Neither for me thanks. Trust me when I say it best for the mental health of the general public.

Peej 0 #6 June 7, 2006 I grew up on the coast and i love it. I live inland now and skydiving has replaced surfing but i try to get in the water whenever i visit my folks at the coast. On another note, i've only ever met one person who didn't like the beach. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky

swedishcelt 0 #9 June 7, 2006 If I could live near a beach where I could surf I know I could never have to skydive again. One is just as good as the other to me.

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #20 June 7, 2006 i love a beautiful beach more than any other place. i love being in the ocean or looking out into the ocean from the shore. I love the sand between my toes. I love the sound that the waves make. I especially love falling asleep (inside my home....not my current home) to the sound of the waves.
McBeth 0 #21 June 7, 2006 For hanging out I prefer the beach... love the sound of the waves. But for swimming I'm a pool kinda gal. I am always afraid of what might be lurking in the ocean.

micro 0 #24 June 7, 2006 therapy / self disclosure time... the ocean scares me. it's just so... big (alright, no small penis jokes and being scared of big things, thanks ) and you never know what's lurking in there. and undertows just freak my shit right out. but i like beaches, they're pretty and all. they generally smell nice, unless there are dead fish or unclean women around anyway. i love the sound the ocean makes. edit... whoops, shoulda read the whole thread... mcbeth already tackled the whole "lurking" thing...
