I met a strange creature yesterday. She didn't like the beach. She'd much rather hang at a pool.

Pools are ok, I guess, especially if they have a swim up bar...but still, give me a sandy beach, warm balmy breezes, and a surf board/or good book and I am a happy camper.

So which one are you?

I prefer the beach any day of the week.
Unfortunately I live in a none beach state so I go to the pool.

I havent worn shorts in public since 1987..
If these skinny white legs get anywhere near either Pools or Beaches.. People go scrambling away like a scene from Jaws.

Neither for me thanks. Trust me when I say it best for the mental health of the general public.

I grew up on the coast and i love it. I live inland now and skydiving has replaced surfing but i try to get in the water whenever i visit my folks at the coast.

On another note, i've only ever met one person who didn't like the beach.

i love a beautiful beach more than any other place. i love being in the ocean or looking out into the ocean from the shore. I love the sand between my toes. I love the sound that the waves make. I especially love falling asleep (inside my home....not my current home) to the sound of the waves.

therapy / self disclosure time... the ocean scares me. it's just so... big (alright, no small penis jokes and being scared of big things, thanks ) and you never know what's lurking in there. and undertows just freak my shit right out. but i like beaches, they're pretty and all. they generally smell nice, unless there are dead fish or unclean women around anyway. i love the sound the ocean makes.

edit... whoops, shoulda read the whole thread... mcbeth already tackled the whole "lurking" thing...
