What are your rules of your life and how you live it?

Mango Mike's rules to life,

1. I don't ever live any place colder than the inside of my refrigerator.

2. If you are asleep I will let you sleep, do the same for me.

3. Live by the golden rule (the real one)

4. Water is always allowed to be replaced by anything with rum in it.

5. If there is no rum margaritas are an acceptable replacement.

6. Mi Casa es Su Casa

7. Let your children live, they will have your grandchildren and that is one of Gods greatest gifts.

8. When sending your grandchildren home, give them Skittles and GoFast, it is revenge on your children!

9. Listen more than you talk, you will lean more and be less obnoxious.

10. Be reverent, love as much as you can and leave the world a better place.

Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

I like those. Can't say I live by them perfectly, but I certainly feel better about life in general when I do.

My rules:

1. Family comes first.
2. Friends are the family you choose. See rule #1.

4. Listen to your instincts. Your brain is trying to tell you something.

I really only have one. I figure that life is far to short to be unhappy, whether it be with your work, or life in general. I try to make my decisions based on what is going to keep me happy. In the years since college every job I've taken has resulted in less money, but greater enjoyment, and I'll be damned if now after 8 years I've found something that combines awesome work and a damn good time all at the same time!

We'll all die way too soon to be unhappy with what we are doing!

Edited to add: Yup, I'm also single, no kids. We'll see how my outlook might change if I find myself paying for a family someday.

5. Don't give up, even though it feels like life and everyone in it has given up on you.
