The ultimate organ is the brain - specifically the anterior pituitary (releases FSH/LH controlling the ovaries releasing estrogen/progesterone controlling the uterus... ) Or you could argue that the "female sex organ" is the ovaries - from a "thats where the eggs are kept" The vagina is just a doorway to the womb.
