Did you ever have a beeper?

I always had at least one beeper on. For awhile, I found myself frequently wearing/carrying two and sometimes even three.

for 3 years i used a beeper and the pay phones at my apartments. it was cheaper than a home phone. plus unless the 911 code came through i didn't have to call right away if i didn't want to.

Mine was black. I hated it. Not because it was black. I just hated carrying around a beeper because I was being paged non-stop for the stupidest things. I tended to conveniently 'forget' it and leave it on my desk.

Yes... and it is on vibrate when I'm in public, but if I want to take it off (like when I'm home and *cough* comfortable) then I need to be able to hear the silly thing.

I still have a beeper (pager) and my boss sends out annoying pages all the time for nothing.. wich sucks because I think it's going to be a real call (ambulance worker) and it's nothing important.
