I wanna know...

Recommended Posts

Deep Purple was popular in the seventies, I think. My memory is kinda' hazy due to lack of O2 back then, lol. The Everly Brothers were from the 50's and early 60's so you may not have heard them. If not, head to youtube and look them up. I can't recall ever hearing a more tightly knit harmony from any vocals - ever. Of course, that's just my opinion.

I smoked my first...ummm to that song.

Geez, youngster...I smoked my first...ummm to an Everly Brothers tune - "Let It Be Me" and never forgot it. (I wonder if you know who they are?)

For me it was either Whisky Train or Simple Sister by Procol Harum.......in my mind, I could see the notes coming off Trower's fingertips.

Of course, when Skynyrd came along a year later, I dedicated my smoking to them. :)

True story:
My sister had a "date" with Phil. She was soooo excited. Limo, formal, press all around, etc., etc. Phil pissed her off. Turns out that it was a "show/trophy" date for appearances sake only. Phil was gay.
My reality and yours are quite different.

Tell me about it. I got to feeling nostalgic so I rummaged through all my old LPs, and have been doing housework all morning accompanied by Jeff Beck and Blood Sweat and Tears. B|
