For those not familiar with them, it looks pretty similar to a mouse, but lives the life of a mole: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prairie_Vole Occasionally, the family cat (which lives indoors) will start pawing at the basement windows, and upon inspection he will see that a vole has fallen in the window well, so he opens the window and captures the critter. Well a few days ago this happened, but when he opened the window, the vole made a break for it and vanished in the basement. As of today, the vole's score was: Captures by family cat: 6 Escapes from family cat: 6 Captures by teenage daughter: 1 Escapes from teenage daughter: 1 So the vole is still at large in the finished basement.
